My son says, " This is a fun game. It has really good graphics, and I like the variety of teams, players and locations." I like it that it has several different levels of complexity to satisfy beginning through very adept video players. Very enjoyable.

Came for the Potter, left for anything else!

This game is based on the sport Quidditch from the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling. The game overall is fairly poor. The few positive aspects are overshadowed by the garbage.

Gameplay- The game features four difficulty levels, Comet 260, Nimbus 2000, Nimbus 2001, and the Firebolt, all brooms from the books. Unless the setting is on Firebolt, the game is useless. You can play as any Hogwarts or international team each with its own special move. After completing listed tasks, the player will receive Quidditch cards which are similar to Chocolate Frog cards from the series. The controls are simple to master but you could sit on the controller and receive the same results unless, like I said, you are on Firebolt in which case you will have to concentrate hard on not losing horribly. The glamor of playing with your favorite team starts to fade as you realize you can make more scores then Brittany Spears at the Strip Club with any team. Redundancy is unavoidable.

Multiplayer-The multiplayer element is one of the few high points of this game. Playing against a friend makes it from an easy win to a challenging battle. Of course to unlock teams and fields you must play through ares of single player so it really isn't worth the trouble.

Graphics-The graphics in this game is another high point. The fields are beautiful and are the only thing that really changes from match to match. The characterslook just as fine in cut scenes (although Harry looks and talks like a five year old).

Series Relation- The actually time of these matches is around the third book judging by the players on the Hogwarts teams. The game is littered with characters from the books like Harry, Draco, Cho Chang, Cedric Diggory, and Victor Krum and features Lee Jordan and Ludo Bagman for the Hogwarts and International games perspectively. The actual games however, are far from what you might expect as explained in the books. You mainly play as a Chaser, the Beaters are computers who protect the Chaser from Bludgers when attacked by the other team. The Seeker is only used after a certain amount of moves have been accomplished and the Keeper is a computer who seems to always be farther from the Quarfel as any other player.

I can't believe there isn't difficulty!!

Alright, personally, I don't think much of this game. For me, it was pathetically easy, even at the highest difficulty. But, I understand why upon further inspection. Rather than aiming at serious gamers like most games do, this aims to little kids or people who don't play video games often (such as people who read a lot). I can see how a little kid could have fun with this title, but to a hardcore gamer like me, there wasn't much fun to be had. I like a challenge. I also think there should be more aspects to sports games here than there are. I noticed no difference in how any of the teams played. Also, quidditch is in 3D!! Why can't you control how high you are flying??? That being said, if you aren't very good at video games or are a Harry Potter fan, you will probably like this game.

This installment of the harry potter games is nothing short of completely bizzare. I have no idea how anybody could like it, although it is a perfect game for 2-3 year olds.

A worthy effort

If you're a fan of the books and movies, you'll probably like Quidditch World Cup. The gameplay is fairly challenging, the visuals are stunning, and some of the special moves are pretty spectacular. However, the game is not without flaws. It's wayyyy too easy at the lower levels, especially at the Hogwarts games. It's all too easy to score goals, and it can be annoyingly easy to control the results of the match. I've deliberately set games up to result in draws, and after an hour or so it was easy to win at Hogwarts by at least 500 points. Also, Quidditch was designed to be played in three dimensions. It wouldn't have been too hard to build a game to handle it; we've been making flight simulators for years. Oh well. It's still an enjoyable game, for all its flaws, and worth ten bucks. Maybe we can look forward to QWC2 sometime soon.

Just as I imagined.....

.... quidditch. I mean we have seen it in the movies and read about this " sports" in the books but it really is as I imagined the game to be. I like the fact that you can play for the Hogwarts House Cup and that you can play the world cup.

To unlock certain levels and teams you have to obtain wizards cards by playing this game. The levels are from super easy to medium < others might find it hard > . My tip is to get as much training at school as possible before starting the World cup giving you a head start when it comes to the controls.

The controls in the beginning can be a bit confusing but it will get easier the more practice you get. There is plenty of teams to try out in the World Cup that way one really doesn't get bored playing this game.

Before going to the world cup check out the inventory to see what cards you need. One has to do certain things to obtain some of the cards. For example only shoot thru the left goal hoop or win a game by only catching the snitch and so on. Once you have all cards for a team you can perform special team moves earning you lots of points kicking back the other teams seeker.

In the Hogwarts Housecup challenge there is plenty of "best- times" to beat for each team. And yes you can play with all 4 teams. My favorite is Ravenclaw as for the fact that they have a good seeker.

Playing in the Worldcup mode you get to see many different stadiums < I like the Australian one > and the commentaries if you even have time to listen to them are fun to listen to. So get going unlock cards and lots of teams and brooms and get playing.

This is an absolute must if you're a Quidditch fan or Harry Potter fan. It is hard and easy but not so hard that you can never win. It is possible :P. You can play as all of the certain players in each team. You play chaser, beater, seeker and keeper. It is absolute fun. I had a lot of fun playing at my friend's house.
