best baseball game since ken griffey jr for super nitendo

This is a awesome game. I like the controllers, like you can't cheat like the other baseball games. What i mean is you choose if you want to pich a ball or a strike. I love the way you do that. The other way is harder and a better way to cheat. Like when you pich it then you move the ball around, then when your about to swing the person your playing against can just change the pich to a ball or something else. This is truely the funnest baseball game of all time. I love "Ken Griffey Jr" for super nitendo, but I have to say this beats it.

High Heat is a great game, and has provided me some outstanding playability lately.

They do their best to make it more challenging as you move up in the levels...in all-star, HRs are more on track with what players do in real life. My batting averages are still pretty high, but it keeps the game more fun that real baseball :) Also, the CPU also seems to injure your best players to keep you on your toes and thinking about your depth.

I'm paying attention to pitcher-batcher handedness, using several relievers, pinch hitting, etc.

I can't talk on the phone and play this game at the same time, it takes a lot of concentration, especially when you are pitching.

I went with the four stars because I did notice some bugs that tend to annoy sometimes. The automatic baserunning gets me out a lot. I'm getting some strange audio sounds, and the music for the menus just stops after awhile. I like EA's music for their sports games.

Dont buy this game

Do not, I repeat, do not buy this game. The graphics are horrible, the gameplay is horrible, the only reason it got 1 star from me is the A-AAA minor league system, but that doesnt even have real players. You would think 3DO would be able to add a couple prospects for each team, but no. High Heat 2004 is a bad name for this game, you can't even choose where to throw the ball. You choose a pitch, then you decide whether it will be a ball or strike. The graphics are terrible. The gameplay is normal. Ken Griffey Baseball for Nintendo 64 was better than this. This is the last time I am gonna buy a sports game from 3DO.

This game will not load on a brand new PS2. The game company (3DO) told me to send my PS2 to Sony for repair or cleaning. It's a month old! My 35 other games all load and play.

I did get the game to load once, by propping the game console up at a 45 degree angle. After playing the game, it promptly froze while I was viewing the game stats. It then would not reload!

The company agreed to 'check' my disc, if I would send it to them. I am paying the postage and insurance. So far this game has caused me nothing but aggravation! DO NOT BUY IT!!

worst game ever besides high heat baseball 2003

The gameplay is horrible, the graphics are horrible and the overall game is horrible. For example, when you pitch, you can't even choose where the ball goes. all you choose is the general section of the plate and whether it is a ball or a strike. When you bat it is basically the same thing, you just choose a general area and it swings there.

This game is the worst fifty dollars i have spent in my life. Don't buy this game

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible

This is by far the worst baseball game in years. I had high hopes after reading a recommendation in this site, but I should have known better than to believe a review written about a game one month before it was even released.

I have yet to find anything I like about this game. The graphics are very average. I remember baseball games with better graphics on my Sega gamesystem many years ago. The gameplay is very choppy and too "cartoonish." Curveballs start way above the hitters heads and drop down into teh strike zone.

The game is way too easy to play and unrealistic. The first game I played I was the KC Royals and lit Randy Johnson up for 12 runs in the first two innings. Yeah, that's realistic. The other thing that upset me was that they brought in the closer to relieve in the 3rd Inning.

If you are just looking for a game that you can score a lot of runs and maybe have a little fun, this is the game for you. If you want a game that is somewhat realistic, don't even waste your time.

As for me, tomorrow I go out and sell this game and buy All Star Baseball 2004 on February 28 and hope for better results.

Game For Little Kids or Boring Adults

I've played every baseball game coming out this year. This ranks second to last, ahead of just MLB 2004. This game has decent graphics along with a fantastic AI and a decent franchise mode.

Here's the bottom line: If you like simple pitching that takes no strategy or thought, and batting that is pointless and childish, buy this game. Other than the weak pitching and batting, and some pointless double menus, this is a fantastic game. Great animations, good commentary, not much else wrong. It feels good too, but the pitching interface was better for RBI 94 on SEGA. And don't tell me there's ways to adjust it because no matter what you try, it's not good.

Compared to World Series, this game is terrible. Compared to the rest of the bunch, I'd consider taking it. If you like the more simple side of baseball, it's all for you.

Most people who just like playing the actual game and ignore the salary negotiations etc. will find it very similar to 2003. I should have saved my money and just kept playing my 2003 version.
