Worst baseball game out there.... Every pitch you make a strike they hit ,they never swing at balls..You have no movement of the ball ,but some how the computer does...I just busted my game today..You can never throw a no hitter and you have to score over 10 or more runs to win...

Awesome

High heat is a great game for beginners and serious baseball players all alike. the game modes are good and the it is one of the best baseball simulations for the 2004 mlb season!

I understand it's a good game if you can get it to run. If you can't get it to run, expect to be returning it.

Nice video opener, that's as far as I get.

My system runs Madden 2004 wonderfully, I can't quite get a handle on what's going on at 3DO and their website which, as I type, is coming up with a 504 error but has been producing errors for a week now. Now I'm stuck with a return item, I was actually looking forward to playing the game. Too bad, looks good on paper.

My system: GeForce 2 64MB, P4-1.8GHz/512MB DDR/180GB HD (100GB free) with latest video drivers and direct-x 9 updates. No problems with other games, including the demanding Madden 2004 and train simulators. Some level of support would be nice.

By the way, in the 2 hours I've spent playing the game so far, it's quite obvious the game has improved alot over last year...and it was the best game a year ago as well.

the game is much better over last year but the over all look of the game is still poor the player face look all the same .detail like al is good but the over all look is not what you want from a ps 2 game. go with mvp baseball or all star baseball you will have a better over all good time.

I think this game is the worst baseball game i have ever played. Allstar baseball 2004 blows it out of the water. I am buying World series Baseball 2k3 to see how that compairs to high heat.

The game is great!
I went to see if all the players u can tell apart, and my results were that the ONLY thing the same on each player was the cleets. thats it. But it is truly the litlest thing that nobody cares about. The graphics are OK, not an eysore, it is actually preaty nice. Now that I think of it, I see that the base coaches actualy make emotions. The umpires. Well they aren't PERFECT and I think that is on purpose that they dont make ALL of the call PERFECT because SOMETIMES, only some times a runner, batter, or fielder might think the umpire made a bad call and might end up in ejections! There are also injuries. some of the injuries are stupid such as Blister. The fielders also make errors, that is also only SOMETIMES. As I know you guys might not, This game's first edition was called "high heat major league 2000" it was a computer game and it used to have some weird crowds who said kiddy phrases such as "Drop it! Drop it!" before sombody caught it, stuff like that, that was annoying. I am happy they got RID of that. The game also has minor league teams. you can't paly with them, they are just there to call up. When you want to call a player up you click square on the player, and it will show the scoting report. If i didn't have it (i do) i would want to buy it because I think it is a really Great game as a discribed.

It has some tough competion coming into this year but High Heat 2004 has steped up to the plate and hit a stand up triple off the top of the wall.

It can be played and tuned to your wants.

Do you want a real as can be MLB, thinking about every pitch, simulation ? You got it.

Do you want a pick up and play for a kid in the Little Leagues ? You got that to.

IT IS THE BEST BASEBALL GAME ANYWAY YOU PLAY IT.

in a word people this game is outstanding....high heats pitcher batter interface is unmatched unlike all star baseball or wsb i dont remember the last time i played baseball and had to line up a cursor to hit it...the graphics are greatly improved and hh provides a full complement of minor leagues player ratings also very so sammy sosa wont take you deep if he is slumping or you can call up a guy fromm aaa if hes knocking the cover off the ball...stadium detail is awesome ...but my favorite part of the game is the a.i......the computer wont hesitate to to bring in a lefty to face your left handed power hitter...try that acclaim....if you love baseball this is the game to get period!!!!!trip hawkins and the people at 3do have outdone themselves this season with a game that the baseball purist will enjoy all the way through this season..and with a huge franchise mode it will keep you busy until hh 2005

Major Glitches, AVOID

After playing High Heat 2002 a few years ago, I ran to buy this as soon as it came out. I have to admit, Im still playing it, but thats only because Im determined to finish my 162 game season, but after thats over, Im sure Ill never touch it again.

This game has got some major glitches. For example: this morning I was playing, the CPU had bases loaded with 2 outs. I got the guy to pop up in the infield, while the ball was in the air, the runner on 3rd ran home, and even though I caught the ball and recorded the 3rd out, the run COUNTED! p.s. thanks to that "fake" run, the game went to extra innings and I ended up losing.

The commentary is just awful. They use a few different phrases and repeat them constantly. Sometimes they are flat out WRONG. A guy gets up and they'll say "he struck out his last at bat" when in actuality he hit a homer.

Many people who have praised this game have said that it is very realistic, unlike some other games. I have not played any others, but I find this to not be very realistic. Every other game I play, I am robbed of a HR. We all know that doesnt happen. Additionally, it is nearly impossible to steal a base.

I guess there must be something good about this game if Im still playing it, but I wouldnt reccommend it to others. My advice - go out and rent a few and make the decision for yourself.
