FUN, I think because you can make your own park I have it for PC but it doesn't work well, who cares PS2 version is cool in JPOG you make a park, do missions, site B and Tutorials. I'm so into the Game I make my own designs like visitor/admin. in a enclosure and have dinos on the outside it's queit conveinient because u don't waste all ur buildings or fences just paths but, you have to make it big (the enclosure) or u'll run out of room to put stuff like the safari ride and balloon ride and the dinos won't go on rampage because lack of room, water, plants and need to hunt that's anoter pro cons for this design none except lack of room for guests but who cares they don't go on rampage and destroy ur park (fehw) but another con is u have to research heavy fencing and visitor shelter before u make ur dinos like T-Rex and spino.

This game is pretty cool if you enjoy The Sims but compared to The Sims it can't hold a candle stick. I enjoyed this game but there isn't much to do.

You can create your own island, which is nice but you only get to choose the size, mountains and rivers. You can only 'dig' for fossils in 3 areas (of 9 areas) of your choice giving you a solid 9 dinosaurs ONLY for your park. You only get at best 15 buildings (3 are fences, some cameras, etc.), worse is you can have so many of one type of building making a large park barron because you can only have so few buildings (then the tourists get pissed cos there's not enough toilets), and it takes ages to research anything. Even the souvenier stand has 3 items to buy, same as the food stand -alot of variety eh?-

Personally I thought it was a great game but lacking in alot of areas, it'd be better if you could get lots more buildings and attractions and more dinosaurs.

Its a game to get if you wanna sit back and watch your park play out, but if you don't like Sims games, don't go near this.

Finally, a Jurassic Park game where you can build!

Okay, I'm 12 years old, and I received this game for my birthday a few days ago. I was so excited because ever since I saw Jurassic Park when I was about 3 years old, I've been a dino fan. Since the first movie, all of the Jurassic Park games released where action-based. I can't beleive that it took the wit of a foreign videogame company to finally come up with the idea of a Jurassic Park game that allows players to actually build their very own Jurassic Park. About 2 years before this release, Nintendo came out with Jurassic Park: Park Builder. The thing that made me so mad was that it was released on GameBoy!!! I mean, why the heck would Nintendo do this for GameBoy?! Seriously! Anyway, the game itself was entertaining. There are 4 types of gameplay: Operation Genesis, the main type of play similar to a sandbox scenario on a Command & Conquer. Excersise, which starts off with a few tutorials. After that, it turns into "advanced" mode, where you build a park with a specific goal, such as exhibiting a Tyrannosaurus. There is mission mode, where you can retire [kill] all the rampaging carnivores or take photos for a Jurassic Park calendar. Last but not least there is Site B, where the player creates dinosaurs with no fences or people. You get to sit back and watch the dinosaurs interact with one another. You can only play Site B by completing all of the missions. I think that the game has a lack of buildings, only around 15, including fences. I think that the game's variety of dinosaurs is great-25 species to be exact. The only dissapointing thing is that you can only have access to 3 digsites per game [out of 9]. This means that you can only have like 9 species of dinosaurs at a time. Overall I think the game is great for you hardcore dino fans.

This game is the worst jurassic park operation genesis. I would recommend the pc or xbox version. Yes u get 25 dinosaurs to CHOSE from but not to have all at ONCE. you can only get 3 dig sites oh lets see in every dig site u get 3 diffenrnt dinosaurs so a total of 9 dinos in a park. Thats right 9. In xbox u can get 5 dig sites so 5x3=15. Plus in the pc u can hack and then get ALL thats right ALL dinos. Plus dont hack and get 15 still. The xbox also has days and nights. Ps2 no day or night. pc i don't know but probley. Xbox and pc way better graphics then ps2.

I agree with Jonathan here. I was happy with my game atleast until I decided to go on the internet and look up stuff for the game. Befor I did this though I didn't like the way you could only get 9 Dinos. When I entered the internet I relized I could get 15 or them all. So i was very dissaponted with it. So if you want a good game get Jurassic Park Operaion Genesis for COMPUTER OR XBOX NOT I REPEAT NOT PS2. The game also on Xbox has advanced graphics with a day and night period and with a advanced Spin attack when under water. Also the Pc has day and night with the spin attack and a hidden dinosaur model, the igunadon, in the files. The computer also alaws you to hack. The only disadvantage is you don't have as many cheats. But the cheats can easliy be done by reading instructions on websites and hacking. The Xbox version has the same cheats i believe as the ps2. So if you want Jpog get the Pc or Xbox.

Jurassic Park Operation Genesis is a really really cool game it is the best Jurassic park game I think. What you do is you make your own park, make Dinosaurs, make rides for people to see them, and take care of your Dinos. But you also have to take care of your park and your visitors. You call the shots and thats what makes this game great. The only thing I don't like about this game so far is you have to go on these Fossil hunts right so you can get DNA to make your Dinos but the thing I don't like is that you only get 3 dig sits to choose from and none of the three have
T-Rex or the slice and dice kings the Raptors. I soon to hope that I will get the other sits so I can have more Dinosaurs but ohter then that I love this game and will love it even more when I can get all Dinosaurs. So if your a big Jurassic Park fan and always wonderd what it would be like if Jurassic Park ever opened to the public you should play this game. The Park Is In Your Hands. . . Make It Happen.

this is the best jurassic park game I have ever played. there a re all kinds of dinosaurs to choose from. you can build safari and balloon tours. in the safari tour, you take visitors INSIDE
the cages to meet the dinos up close. this is a game that I will never get bored of.

This game rocks! You have to play this because if you don't, that's a crime against yourself. This is the best Jurassic Park game ever! You can make kiosks for visitors, have sentry turrets to retire the dinosaurs if they go crazy, and personally one of my favorites is controlling the baloon, land cruiser, and ranger helicopter. So buy it now or never find out the true experience you'll find when you play this great game!

First off, this game has NO replay value, is not hard at all and the Dinosaurs are tame as a dog. I myself have never had an unintentional breakout, the Dinosaurs tend to drop into a Coma before trying to break out. The Site B mode gets old twice as fast as the normal Park Builder mode. There are sites out there with guides on how to make all the Dinosaurs available, and then make it possible to make hundreds of Dinosaurs, I've even made it possible to have 300 fossil teams. In theory you can edit the game to make Dinosaurs more aggressive. The other downside, no flying Dinosaurs and Dinosaurs cannot reproduce (Which is a huge downside in Site B mode). The in-game messages boarder on Game Spam, and when visitors leave your park unhappy, you get a message that says they left, and for what reason, but not how to fix it.

In short, this game would have been better with some more work on the part of the Developers, the visuals are excellent, but the gameplay fell short.

Jurassic Park Operation Genesis is great! It is my 2nd favorite Jurassic Park game! It lets you manage your own Site A and your own Site B! The World of Jurassic Park is yours! Breed and care for 25 dinosaurs in the hatchery and in fields!
