Good old fashoned smashing

While no one seemed to like this game I definately did. It was a pleasent suprise to see the extreme combat and insanity this game provided. Basicaly it's pure mayhem from beginning to end as you try to smash every other truck out there and have enough money left over to buy repairs. Funner than it sounds.

Ok, but could have been so much better!!

I rate this game 3 stars. It is ok, but could have been so much better. Sure the trucks are up to date but it is a little off of what the real life thing is. The game is about monster trucks. I thought they would have like freestyle and races but no they don't. After I bought it I wish I hadn't. No where near what I thought it would be. The graphics are very poor too. I think the developers were trying to make this into a twisted metal game with all of the firearms on the trucks. Unfortuneately if they ever come out with another game I will not buy it. I might rent it to try it but I wouldn't buy it first. I have already made that mistake once. I do not think this game is worth [$].

Not what I expected.

The game is fun for about the first level and then gets more and more challenging and it seems the the cpu trucks just follow you like it is just you and him. The game is deffinately difficult but somewhat fun to play.

This is one of the worst games I have ever played. The control is pathetic. There is no point to the game. Loading time is good, but I would rather not play the game at all.

this game is the best i love to play it but it is not that realistic you got to make it like the one on tnn with the racing and freestyle i think people will buy it then i mean they will buy it when it comes out but people want something cool new they want to feel like there driving in a race or freestyle going head to head agenst someone eals and have someone judge give them ponts in the feestyle thats what people want to play on ther ps2 i think if you make it they will buy it ...

Monster Jam is a good game. It is way better than vigilante 8 1 and 2 because you can even kill a truk with out weapons.

What a great game.

This is a terrific game the game features all of the trucks on the ushra monster jam circuit. The best part is there not locked. Another great thing is you get to smash and shoot up your opponets and yes it will cause maximum destruction.

Monster Jam Maximum Destruction: Maxium Non-Loser

Monster Jam Maximum Destruction? A maxium non-loser in the Twisted Metal Rip-off clone dept. That's Right, you won't be racing these baby's around in a little circle while you suck your thumb like a new-fledged infant, this is some top-of-the-line Monster Truckage, and, Tony Danza, do I really have to tell who's the boss? Want heat lamps, death rays, a super-sized magnifying-glass with which to incinderate your opponents, utilizing the sun's deadly rays, rent Kirby's Circus Adventure. In this game, you don't win by collecting the most power-ups or by being first across the finish line, you win by actually causing vehicular explosions to occur on-screen. You heard me, these 4x4's are not only equipped with jumbo treads, rollcages, and cosmic paintjobs, they're armed. Blast your way amidst fantastic, wild, visionary scenery in what I might go so far as to term a sort of "Death-Opera", wherein the likes of Wild Thing, Bigfoot, Reptoid, the Abomnible Superplow, are the Pavarratis and the Anna Pavlovas. So, if your looking for some Tonka toy action rent the Sound of Music. Fans of the monster truck scene itself may suffer at the hands of disappointment as none of the activities/mini-games were designed for morons, alas.

Yes I just bought MOnster Jam Maximum Destruction last weekand and it is NOT like I thought I would be. The game is like all of the Twisted Metal's for the Playstation one where you go around destroying all of your oppents.
You can NOT accually race HEAD TO HEAD 1 on 1 against someone you have to race against all 4 trucks at one time. Yeah the graphics are reallty AWSOME because it looks real. In the freestyle mode you can only go to one freestyle couse the one that they give you to start with. There are only big dips in the course it is missing the BIG BIG jumps the school buses and everything else you see on TNN Monster jam.
