You Get What You Expect

If you've never played Tetris you've probably never played videogames. Tetris was one of the first puzzle games for the original Gameboy that involved moving puzzle pieces into a straight line to clear it. It was very popular and recently Nintendo released a new version, Nintendo DS. It includes 6 different modes. I really enjoy Tetris, and although this is a very good game, I felt some of the modes are useless. Most Tetris fans only care about the original way to play and this game delivers, but the other ones arn't as fun. I found myself trying them out a few times and never really coming back to them. I also felt the price is a little high for a game that was essentially created over 25 years ago. The coolest aspect of this game is the online part of it. Players can face off against people all over the world in Tetris and I thought this was very cool. Overall though, I feel like if you enjoy Tetris and are looking for a new version with updated graphics, this game is for you.

Variety of versions, use of stylus on some.

Really enjoy the games that use the stylus rather than the buttons. Lots of versions to select from. On a recent visit with my grandchildren they played my Tetris DS so much that I ordered a copy for them to keep - my copy came home with me!

The most innovative tetris, but one problem:

Tetris DS will force to play Tetris differently; even the most seasoned Tetris veterans will have more than enough challenge here. I will not go through all the different playing modes that T DS offers, but its more than suffice to say that it has more than any other old Tetris games. The real gem here is the multiplayer, and this game is a perfect for semi-casual party games to anyone who enjoys Tetris in some degree. My only complain is: when I play intensively (competitively) for at least 20 minutes, my eyes becomes blurred for the next, say 10 minutes and its very uncomfortable. No other DS games gave me such problems and maybe its just me, but for me this problem is significant enough to take away one star.

A classic

At first, i thought that the Tetris DS game would be just like every other game. I've had the game for over a month now and its just as fun as the first day i got it. The new catch, push, and touch puzzle/tower are very fun and interesting. Push especially is the most fun to play multi player. I would definitely recommend this game to any person

I went to the store yesterday and picked this game up for 20 dollars so why are people selling copies of a 20 dollar game for 90 to 100 bucks that dont seem right

Very fun!

I love this game. It is very fun as 1 or 2 player. Great for all ages, My parents play this game and so do I! We have nieces that play it too. Colorful, addictive, an fun. Well worth the 29.99 that it retails for!

I enjoyed Tetris on my original NES system growing up, like many. When my boyfriend bought me a DS and Tetris, it brought back fond memories. This version, however, is so much more than original Tetris. Fun graphics and music from classic Nintendo games, a multitude of different modes, and multiplayer mode make this my favorite game ever. I've since bought more games for my DS, and I still play this more than any other.

I take the train to and from work, giving me plenty of time to play. I've gotten so good vs. the CPU that I now beat my boyfriend every time! I just hit level 19 in Marathon mode today, and I'm up to puzzle #97 out of 200 in Puzzle mode. There are so many ways to play this game, I never get bored.

This game is awesome, why Nintendo stopped selling it is beyond me. Wifi support is cool, I can play competitive tetris with random folks on the internet, what is not to like. The different modes are also very cool, some interesting variants on classic tetris. This cart is a must have.

Tetris for the DS

A traditional Tetris game but with some great new twists. I love the two player functions - particularly the game Push where you attempt to shove more rows at your opponent as quickly as possible while they are doing the same to you. The mechanics of the game are the same, but the colors and graphics are better...I think the music is less annoying too but I usually just turn the sound off. This would make a good game for kids, adults who like time killers and puzzle games, and anyone who just wants to have some fun with a friend while they are waiting around. (My husband and I play while we are waiting for tables in restaurants)

I PLAYED TETRIS YEARS AGO AND THE NINTENDO DS VERSION IS NOT BAD AT ALL. THE GAME KEEPS YOUR MIND SHARP. AND WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THAT. IT HAD GREAT GRAPHICS AND THE MUSIC IS COOL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES A CHALLENGE.
