Fun sequel to Dracula: The Ressurection

If you liked the first one, you'll probably like this one and if you hated it, you will most definately hate this one. I personally love these first person adventure games. The goal is to basically advance the storyline by solving puzzles and collecting items that must be used in various ways such as unlocking doors, killing enemies, etc. It is no gory killing spree, or terror fest like Silent Hill or Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. It is purely atomospheric and if that is not your cup of tea I suggest avoiding this game and others like it. The only big difference between the gameplay of this one and the first is that you can actually die in this one. My advice is to save frequently and most definately do so as soon as the timer bar with the receding red appears. Anyway, the story picks up where the first left off (in fact the opening cut scene is the finale of the first game). This game is slightly longer than the first and like the first can be divided into two parts: London and Transylvania. In London you must travel by sewer around to different buildings to collect items that will allow you to find Dracula's hiding place there. In Transylvania you must sneak back into Castle Dracula and make your way to the Sanctuary. Once there you must solve challenges in three initiation rooms and you will then be able to enter Dracula's Last Sanctuary and defeat him. All of the chilling, gothic settings are beautifully rendered and like the last one the only short-comings are the cheesy animated cut scenes. The computer graphics are rather cheap so the characters move rather robotic. The voice acting is also poor. But these are not really that important to the gameplay. The real fun comes from advancing through all the creepy strongholds and underground passageways till you reach your destination.

Worth It

My husband and I love to sit and play these kind of games together and solve the clues. This game was alot of fun. The puzzles weren't that hard, the story line was good and the ending didn't leave you disappointed.

A Great Sequel!

I found "Dracula: The Last Sanctuary" to be a great sequel to "Dracula: Resurrection" - as many of the "downfalls" I found with the prior game are no longer an issue.

In this game, you continue the quest of Jonathan Harker to save his young wife Mina from the grips of Dracula once & for all - knowing that the only way this will happen is for Dracula to perish. Will Jonathan finally succeed, or will all his hard work be in vain? You'll have to find out by playing this game to the end.

Overall, I found this to be a really fun game & I'm hoping that it won't be the last in this series. Most of the puzzles, as well as where to go & what to do next are logical - however I did need to use a "hints" site a few times (I found UHS hints to be very helpful). The graphics & storyline are also quite good & I liked the length - neither too long or too short. The only downfall I experienced was that you still need to do some CD shuffling every time you re-load - but only after you reach the 2nd CD.

I would highly recommend "Dracula: Last Sanctuary" to anyone who enjoys mystery-type games - but be sure to play "Dracula: Resurrection" first. Although it isn't absolutely necessary, it does provide some additional background information.

Fun and scary.

I am playing this game right now. What can I tell? If you played Dracula, and you got a lot of fun, this is game for you. The second Dracula more difficult than first and sometimes have a real time action. The graphics and sound very realistic. So I think this Game is Perfect.

Zzzzzz...

First of all, it's by Dreamcatcher, your first clue its going to suck! Secondly it sucks! Thankfully, I saw this in the $1.99 bin which is about all the enjoyment you'll find here. The game is also impossible without a walkthrough, it really that bad! Wait until someone gives it away
