I bought Quake III Gold and I have had so much fun with it. It is a lot better then Half-Life and all of those games. Not only does it come with QIII but it comes with QIII Team Arena. You can even download MORE mods for QuakeIII!! I reccommend this to anyone who wants a good computer game!

I got this game the first day it came out and at that time a voodoo 2 and voodoo 3's were considered powerful. And with this game they are. The multiplayer is great! Oh plus you can start a skirmish and make it a sever. But the funnest thing is to just go on other peoples servers. Plus if you put in a 128mb vid card the graphics are like the best i've seen next to ut2003. And you can turn the detail up and run at 120fps!

No monsters!

I bought this intending to do two things, not really thinking they might not both be possible. I can't find a way to play against monsters like the original quake. This is only playing against bots and other players. Great game. Lot s of fun on the internet.

Yes, it takes about half a second to die in this game when you're in the hard areas. This game is best played with groups, because there is NO story. That drawback aside, there are some stunning environments. When this game was first released I was amazed that my then-dated computer could run it. The trick is that the ID developers know how to optimize system resources to make the gameplay awesome and the visuals beautiful as well. Granted, this was high-tech six years ago, but the age factor is outweighed by the sheer quality of the game.

it's one of the best pc games of all, if you like action, you would love this, but i wouldn't recommend it for the youngsters.

This game works well on Windows 98, but twice as good on XP, which isn't included on the list, and on 98, I can't even finish a level. I need a Windows XP for myself now. I am hoping it works on that. My friend has the XP I used, and I thought it would work worse, but it works so much better, I was dying to play all the time I was there. We even finished the game! There is not enough RAM on my windows 98, and it's probably the problem. I have 56MB, I need 64MB. I would like to see what that XP has. I would not suggest using this on Windows 95 or 98, but on a newer model. This game needs some better testing.

Its Ausome if you like Action. id recomend it for 11 and up if they know its not real.trust me its worth your money.

This is a great game!. THE GRAPHICS ARE OUTSTANDING, great sound effects and scenarios. The AI is great although they should tart improving it. it's a must have fos FPS lovers.
I give it 4 stars because AI must improve.
