This game is something between Aliens vs Predator2 (graphics) and Unreal Tournament (Dynamics of game). Quake is really very unusual FPS. It has very nice Gothic atmosphere and at the same time futuristic equipment. Worth any money!

I did not think I would like anything as much as Aliens Vs. Predator II until I played Quake 3 after playing the demo to bits and pcs. As a visual artist I am particularly pompously picky about what eye-candy gaming I should want to spend some non-painting time to and this game is it! The Gold Edition Bundle has both Q3 and Team Arena, of which one has the potential of down-loading MANY more maps and scenarios than what seems to initially be on the silicon disc. This is a value and a half and a great game that gets the adrenaline flowing not to mention forgetting to do important things like eat and .....! Great game!

Everyone should have Quake 3. Everyone.

It's one of the best FPS ever made, and features some of the best mods out there too: Urban Terror, Bid For Power, just to name a few. The engine is world famous, and many great looking games have come from the Q3A engine (Medal of Honor:AA, Jedi Knight II, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, etc...)

Graphics are just great, and this is THE multiplayer/LAN game. If you already own Half-life and Unreal Tournament, get this to round off your collection.

I've played lots of FPS games: Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Quake I & II, the DOOM series, Unreal, the AvP series(which is awesome), Wolfenstein, Deus Ex(also awesome), etc. You name it, I've probably played it...but QUAKE III wears the crown for most badass straight-up FPS game. Very intense and lots of fun. And the online Capture the Flag games are highly addicting. This game is about 3 years old and I'm still waiting for someone to top it! DEFINATELY WORTH THE MONEY!!

I love Quake3. Before Quake3 I love Quake2 in the zone before it closed down.
I can't imagine any gamer not playing quake since in my
opinion it's the only GAME.
Who makes the money playing a shooter well Fatality and Thresh!
