I recently purchased this game along with Masque's Slots program. The Masque program gets the nod for having accurate replications of actual slot machines, but this game gets the thumbs up for having better sound and graphics, and for being the most fun to play.

In particular, I like the creative additions to a few of their slots such as Mountain Climber, which allows the player to send a yodeling mountain climber up the side of a mountain. If he gets high enough in 20 spins, the player is rewarded with bonus coins. Another game has five different reels spinning simultaneously. Of the many casino games I have played, the slots on this one are the most innovative and entertaining.

Reel Deal Slots also includes a number of video poker machines and I must disagree with the reviewers who say these are accurate replications of casino machines. Far from it. Not only are the graphics much different than IGT machines, the payouts are ridiculously high, some allowing 135% return on optimum play. You won't find those machines in a casino, I can guarantee it. As far as the game itself, the cards are dealt a little slow in my opinion, but nothing unbearable. Masque (again) gets the nod for realism in the Video Poker category with their game Multiplay Video Poker and is a much better choice for video poker players.

But the main reason you're buying this game to have fun with slots, right? If so, I would recommend this game.

Absolutely the best!

At first I was skeptical when I first saw it advertised in Strictly Slots magazine. With $20 burning a hole in my pocket, and seeing it at the local store, I decided to purchase it. Now I already have Hoyle slots, the Monopoly Casino, Masque Slots, Cardoza's 100 slots and 100 Video Poker, and the Microsoft Casino; but this is by far, the best and most realistic. If you go to their web site or find the issue of strictly slots magazine (I believe it was 9/2000) and read the review, they can't say enough good.

I agree, and They did a very excellent job simulating existing machines from IGT, Williams, and Bally. Of course, they couldn't use the real names or logos or symbols like Masque did, but the sound and graphics are top-rated, and the comp bonus is a nice touch.

This game, in my opinion is absolutely the best, and if you have to have just one, this is the one you want. Way better than the Hoyle's slots and video poker, (Although that one is quite good, however with all the short comings discussed by myself and others.) Definitely blows the Cardoza's 100 slots 2000 right out of the water. In fact, I un-installed my Cardoza Slots, and will give it to the highest bidder, whom ever wants it.-but his poker game is great, don't get me wrong, due to the variety of different machines. I don't know how his new 500 Slots and VP are, but looks like more of the same.

But this is about the real deal slots and video poker, and it certainly is. Enjoy! I know that I do!

By far the best

Adequate slot games. I particularly like the max play of 45 coin games. The other games were boring. If I hit that seldom in Vegas I'd go home. It's better than alot of the slot sofeware, but it still needs some work on the imagination.

Just wanted to remind everyone that I also reviewd this game mistakenly on the Reel Deal Combo pack. A real bargain. I never saw their table poker game, but looks pretty good judging from the screen shots.

Also if you liked this game, please keep a look out for the RD vol. 2. Even better, juswt like this one, you'll recognize some familiar Williams,Bally and IGT games with the names and logos changed for copyright reasons.

I amend what I said about the multiplay poker, you can play what ever you want, but max bet is ten hands at 10 credits each. I have trouble making money on this one. A different format from Masque Multiplay, or the vol. 1 machines. Also the Bingo game is great, but a money loser.

Read your owner's manual for vol. 2. (Case insert.) it says to e-mail them if you win all the prizes. I'll try. Let us know what happens. Customer support is excellent.

I know this review isn't about vol 2, but please be advised that mine slowed down after running a while. If that happens, close out and come back. but its still really fun.

A real casino like this would go out of business

The poker in this game is horrible! Far too often losing players are paid. Unless the manufacturer wanted to add a human element, the game is horribly flawed and useless for someone trying to sharpen their game. But the graphics are nee-to!

I puchased 3 packs and none of them work properly. In the middle of a game it will just go off and you lose all the stats.

The poker diskettes cursor has a mind of it's own. It also will pay a losing player and go off in the middle of the game.

I think I deserve a replacement for all of the ones I bought. None of them work correctly.

I could not get both phases of the game to work. Video poker would work but slots would not. I contacted the company that made the game and was told that they had a lot of problems with the game if you were not hooked up to the internet but they did not know that until it was released. They are sending me an extra cd to go with it to make it work. If your hooked up to internet, you should be ok according to the company that made the game.
