in this game, you get to race in 8 cool tracks.see, there are three laps on each track, and on each lap.something different happens.something the course changes on a lap.definetly my style of racing.you can go to the bermuda triangle,a dinosaur track,an icy track,a pirate track,a downtown city track,a haunted castle track,a coal mine track, and italy,i think.so the next time your child asks, mommy can i get splashdown 2,say .yeah!!!!

Have you seen the pics of this game? Need I say more? By far the BEST water effects I have ever seen in a game. This is one of those games where your grandma walks in and has to ask if you are playing a game or watching TV! OK, I know I haven't played it yet, but so far I have heard nothing but good things. Sick water effects, tricks, racing, what more do you need? The PS2 has been spitting out some awesome extreme sports titles since its October 26th, 2000 release (SSX, Dave Mirra BMX 2, Tony Hawk 3) and Splashdown will be no different! I have pre-ordered my copy, have you?

Must Buy!!!

When I first played this game I knew it would be good but I never expected it to be this great. Imagine this: add SSX, Jet Moto, and throw in a little GT 3 and you have Splashdown. Far surpasses any game of it's kind I've ever played. Do yourself a favor and pick up this game you won't regret it.

Excellent

This game has quickly become my favorite. The graphics are beautiful. If you are looking for a low stress fun game to play during quiet moments of a busy day, try out this game. Youn don't need to solve complex puzzles; you won't get frustrated trying to work out the controls. The game is well-designed and all you need is good hand-eye coordination, instinct, and the need for speed.

I bought this game becasuse i wanted to know if it was going to compare to wave race because people had told me that wave race is a good looking game, and when i first saw splashdown in action i only could say ahh good wauuu, it so terrible genious, the best lookinh water racing game y had played better than wave race for the gamecube, also the music is very good it has one of the coolest songs out there, it has one song of the movie shrec, also iy has a long gameplay there a 18 courses compared to 8 that has wave race, i mean it if you want the best racing game ever bought this.

Jet Moto fans will love this game

The game that started it all for me on PS1 was Jet Moto. I hated #2 but enjoyed a lot of good two player action on #3. Splashdown is the nearest thing to these titles available on PS2. The game takes place entirely on water (except when you are jumping through the air). The water is not just a flat plane though. There are waves and rocks and you must control the amount of hydroplaning your jet ski does. Alternately you can dive underwater for short periods of time. The soundtrack on this title rocks and actually has hit music that many young people listen to. The big drawback of the sound is that it is not 5.1 (SSX tricky has spoiled me in this department), but if you are not someone who has surround sound (DTS/dolby digital) you will not miss this.

First of all, this game is beautiful. The graphics in this game are incredible, and the detail in the water is perfect. Another great thing about this game is it's large selection of tracks that are all detailed beautifully. Some people don't really like the music choices that are in this game, but I didn't have a problem with it. To me, everything about this game is superb.

A good game

My advise: Don't buy this game, just rent it! This is a perfect game for a week-end, after a few days you get bored of it. The graphics are O.K and also the play, but is too short. The difficult level is, well, difficult and you are going to lose your patience very fast.

Not as good as the other playstation game

This is ok for graphics.. the learning of the control is not easy and it was a un-realistic ride. I ski often and just did not feel comfortable. I bought the other Playstation jet ski game and loved it!!!

Not the type of racing I enjoy!

There just seemed to be no point to this game. I did not like it at all.
I thought it was going to be a type of game where you would be able to get in a "ride" and see what it would be like. Boring!
