Doesn't work with Win 2000

Although the description states that this game is compatible with Windows in general, it does not work with Win 2000, and I would bet NT or XP. The infogrames site only lists 95/98. Since the infogrames site does not list Trivial pursuit as an active title, having just an agreement to support it with Hasbro, its erstwhile maker, I would not expect that they will do anything about updating it to support current Windows systems anytime soon.

Fun to play with your kids (or parents) :)

This game was a Christmas gift about 4 years ago I would say, and when I first got the game my Mom and I would duke it out with each other on a daily basis (she was a teacher of history and psychology, I a 16 year old sophomore) she always won, I don't think it was very fair competition. But it was always fun. It's very educational, but again enjoyable. Since that time, my life has changed dramatically (my Mom died, my Dad got re-married, and I have moved to a different town and been through 3 computers), but I still have the game. I just found it yesterday and re-installed it on my computer. It brought back fun memories and I'm enjoying it all over again (and being that I've had 2 and 1/2 year of college, am quite a bit better now). Buy this game, and spend some time with your kids...good memories last forever.

Trivial Pursuit is a GREAT game.

Trivial Pursuit is one of the original and best trivia games out there, and this CD lives up to its track record. With questions, sounds, pictures, animations, and video by the thousands, it's well worth the ... price tag.

Here's how the game is played. You roll a die, move your token (a colored game pie) that number of spaces in any direction (you always have at least two ways to go), and answer a question in the color you land on (for example, in this game, a pink square will get you an Arts & Entertainment question). If you get it right, you get another turn. If you get a right answer while you're on a "wedge space", guess what?--you earn a wedge in that color. When you fill your pie with one wedge from each color, you have to get to the center of the board, then answer a question in what your OPPONENTS think is your worst category. Do that and you win the game!

Wish we could have got it to work!

We purchased it through eBay, years ago. After installing, we couldn't get it to load up on our older computer which runs Win98SE, or our 2 year old Gateway which runs WinXP. Wish it would have worked, new Trivial Pursuit on cd-rom is hard to come by. (Unless you're a NASCAR or a Disney fan. We couldn't stand the Trivial Pursuit -- Unhinged.)
