hey, there, MOH fans! Can you believe that the original MOH became a 1st seller? MOH for PC has 2 expansion packs, one out and the other nearly ( check AMAZON for more details ) and soon there is to be MOH 2. There are about 6 missions in every full game.
the two platforms they are on are ps2 and pc but i thick they may come out on xbox or dreamcast or anything like that.I think it was an amazing series. bye them!
i will be back !

Another good expansion pack, but the first is still better.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough is a good expansion pack. It requires Allied Assault to run.

Breakthrough is a really good game, but not up to the quality of the first Allied Assault. The game fails to offer anything as exciting as the Omaha Beach scene from Allied Assault, but it is more interesting than Spearhead. It picks up where Spearhead (the first MOH expansion pack) left off. You being in a scene with lots of tanks, and the feeling of war is portrayed really well.

Graphically, the game is a little dated. There are only minor graphical improvments. The sound effects and excellent, and the music is good. Online play is fun, and the maps are designed well.

Overall, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough is worth playing. It may not be the best FPS around, but it portrays WWII like no other game.

Another MOHAA Expansion?!?! Good...

I have feverishly played the Medal of Honor franchise for a couple of years now, but mostly I have played Allied Assault. The original game was awesome, with great graphics and awesome sound. It became one of the best games to kick off the year 2002, and it was one of the best games ever made! It was the best game that I owned! Then everyone heard of the new expansion for Allied Assault, Medal of Honor AA Spearhead. Spearhead featured new levels, new multiplayer content, and it raised the bar for Medal of Honor. But while Spearhead was a great game, it also suffered from some serious problems. The multiplayer game was essentially the same, and the single-player game was brutally short. I beat it in two days! Everyone was kind of let down with Spearhead. Finally, Allied Assault Breakthrough has come along, and EA is really busting themselves to make this a great game. They are completely adding a new single-player game, bumping up the visuals, adding new sound, and reworking the multiplayer content to a whole new level. It's like a whole new game entry in the Medal of Honor series. I think that fans of the games are very excited about this new expansion for the game, and I know I am too. ..

Medal of honor was one of the greatest games ever made by EA.Sports. Spearhead was just a break through but wasn't as successful as the origional Mohaa!haaooo! I have played this game with a few others because our cusins and dads work and own stores that already have it arriving. The weapons are way better than ever before and the levels are [great].I quit my clan {WACP}***Goa.Killa*** cause they said we cheated but you see we were good and weere from other clans that broke up cause of cheaters. We formed a strong team and now I am back and looking for new Recruts on this new ww2 game. Anyone looking for a clan be ready cause with theses new maps and no way to cheat almost no way to cheat were gonna be a good competitor for all those who cheat. So alll of yall i give this game five stars and Kanz me and camp want you in the new clan !!!!!! Sincerly, {WACP}***Goa.Killa*** or for some of the old boyz Esar)Poole and Esar)Goatnutz

This is it?

(Note: This review is based on the multiplayer demo - and written 1 week before full release)

Before I start, let me say that I have played MOHAA since the first game's demo was released, and I play it daily or weekly depending on my schedule.

So, I loaded the demo (after renaming it to allow XP to accept the filename length) and was excited to see new weapons for the Brits (so now I can play like a real Canadian soldier with a Vickers/Bren style machine gun!) The Italians are kind of cool too.

Then I go online. The demo is choppy (and I have run this on two machines, both well within the specs for the game, and both with options "dumbed down" to be sure of good gameplay.) I had good ping (never over 110) and it was still jumpy. I futzed with my video settings. Still choppy. Kind of like an intermittent spiking lag. Dunno if that's just a function of the demo, but that kind of made sniping (with that new Enfield sniper for the Brits) a bit disappointing.

And what's with the Italian weapons? I swear I spent the first 10 minutes spraying mg bullets at my enemies with no effect. If these are based on real weapon specs, no wonder the Italians had a bad time of it.

Come to think of it, the Vickers is a huge step down from the BAR. It has a slow thunk-thunk-thunk fire sound, and I am guessing a slower fire rate because I had problems killing bad guys with that one too.

The new release-the-prisoners game is interesting, but I still think they hit the high mark with the TOW games. And what's with that mine detector? Great idea (hell, Italy was one big minefield) but it's goning to take some time to master its potential. I wonder if, with the full release, we'll be able to mine the heck out of the courtyard in Stalingrad (moh map6)?

Am I gonna buy the expansion pack? Likely. If only to have more weapons/soldiers options for Omaha Beach.

Am I thrilled beyond belief about the new stuff? Not anywhere near as much as I wanted to be...

nice, especially multiplayer

This is the best multiplayer FPS game I have ever played. It is so much better than Jedi Knight II or Battlefield 1942. Download the demo from EA games to try it out yourself.

This expansion includes more single player missions than Spearhead did. In multiplayer, you get the same maps from Spearhead plus some new ones. So you don't need to buy the Deluxe package or the Spearhead expansion unless you specifically want the (very short) Spearhead single player missions.

boring

this game would be fun if it didn't have to compete with games like UT2003 and BF1942. I find that the WW2 scenery is dull looking and overall the gameplay is dense. But if you don't like colorful games where there is alot of jumping and flying about maybe this game if for you. Also I find anykind of expansion distasteful because it spreads viable players very thin so there are less games with players to choose from for any given game.

OUTSTANDING, SOLDIER!!

This game is great! One of the best games I have ever played, and I've played a lot of computer games. Will be purchasing MOH: BREAKTHROUGH tomorrow 09/23/03.. and PACIFIC ASSAULT in January. If you like this game, I would also recommend you picking up CALL OF DUTY (from the makers of Medal of Honor) in November 2003. Don't miss any of these games. Medal of Honor is a pure thoroughbred winner!
Go download the demo of CALL OF DUTY at www.callofduty.com

Same Medal of Honor, It's getting old

Medal of Honor Allied Assault is one of the best 1st person shooter I have ever played (Operation Flashpoint is # 1, its a 1st and 3rd person shooter). But unfortunatly Breakthrough (just like Spearhead)didnt come close to either games. The graphics have not been improved and the sound isnt any different. There might be more weapons but that is the only thing they have attempted to change in the game. The Maps aren't the greatest, the multiplayer is good as usual. They might as well make medal of honor a multiplayer game. I'm also getting sick of the being outnumber 100 to 1. They need sonme solo missions and some squad based missions. (Like Operation Flashpoint) Instead of buying Breatkthrough, you should buy Call of Duty. It comes out in November and has much more player animations and better weapons. It has 3 campaigns. British (includes Pegasus Bridge), Russian (siege at Stalingrad), and of course and American Campaign where you are a paratrooper (pathfinder 101st) during D-Day

Another MOHAA sequel while we're waiting for "Call of Duty"

MOHAA Breakthrough is the second ad-on (after Spearhead) of the acclaimed MOHAA. This 3rd episode also ranked 3rd in terms of game play and overall fun. This episode contains 11 single-player levels and 9 new multiplayer maps. Obviously you will be taken in new locations like the battle of Kassemire Pass (North Africa), Messina (Sicily) or Monte Battaglia (Italy). The game also displays new weapons (who really care as they are not that new) and new soldiers (who really care as they are not that intelligent). The single-player mode is quite frankly disappointing as it is pretty much run and shoot all the way. The only good thing (not redeeming thing) is that the programmers alternate within the same mission FPS on foot and FPS in a vehicle (and that's great)...The multiplayer mode is the reason why (if any) you want MOHAA Breakthrough, the maps are very well done and new plus you get an additional mode, the "liberation" mode, where player can be captured and liberated (and that is a big plus). Overall you still have the MOHAA feel but let's face it EA is cashing on sequels that are very much minimalist...It's your call if you want them to do so...
