Incredibly realistic; action-packed fun!

I just bought this CD for my 8 year old son, and he is having a blast with it! (No pun intended, of course ;P ). At any rate, this CD is so incredibly life-like that in one scenario the fireman faints if he is in the area too long.

There are different levels of skill one can attain; you aren't just simply putting out fires. This is a "virtual" firemen's academy with excercies that require the fireman to jump, crouch, carry victims, run from room to room to put out fires and check for survivors. Needless to say, the fun is unlimited.

Some may well find this game a little on the intense side, but I look at it this way; with all of the demonic crap w/monsters etc. and the objectification of women, I think it is about time that we celebrated true "American Heroes" in the toys and games we manufacture for our children. NYFD Fire Fighter: American Heroes does just that. Besides, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD go to a 9/11 charity fund...

...horrible...

the graphics are bad and it is so slow. I just had to get my angry out about this game. I bougth it and started to play and started relizing this is horrilbe. The only good this is that some of the money goes to the 9/11 funds.
