ok when i first played this game, i LOVED it. but the game isnt flawless. this game basically is a carbon copy of tribes 2 for the pc. except its missing a few things. like the beowulf assualt tank and the jericho mobile base unit just 2 name a few. these vehicles are soo important 2 me and it kill s that they are missing. all that aside, it runs great, sounds and looks good, its fun, but the conrols are complicated. But, you are able to fly using your jetpack! this add tons of fun things and one major problem....ok imagine this you are running to the base with your chaingun and all of the sudden you see this huge guy flying above you with a spinfusor. what do you do shoot at him while he pummels you? ya with a short range inaccurate weapon using an analog stick???? uve gotta be kidding me. aiming at something that is flying very fast overhead with a conroller is hard. if you can get through all of the things its missing and all of the control problems its actully a fun game. i like it but i reccomend Tribes 2 for the PC. its the same game only better. it has more features and costs 10 bucks! so grab a copy the game has a community that revoles around tribes. the great thing with the PC game is that you can mod it..and people have! thee nothing more fun than driving a speedy hoverbike with EXTREMELY heavy armamment!

But the main reason I recommend the PC version......
There is no sign of communication AT ALL!!! there is no microphone or keyboard support so it makes you wonder if there can be ANY team tactics AT ALL!

And also the new tribes VENGENCE is comming out in the furure so unless you can wait... get this....Or TRIBES2.

Conclusion: decent game if you dont wanna deal with PC games.

Tribes was the bomb, no doubt about it!

Tribes is an awesome 1-4 player(might only be 2,not sure)game that rocks,both single and multiplayer.My friend and I teamed up,capturing forts, bombing bases in Bomber ships, capturing flags in large, Carrier ships, and nailing any who dare come near our base, with fighter jets, much like X-wings in Star Wars. Levels like the one where there are four towers,then a large space station floating above them, is unbelievable! I've always been looking for this game, and as soon as I have a spare $20, I'm buying it. Tribes is not the best game, I admit...there are one or two flaws,such as the fact, if you set the game on hard, it's IMPOSSIBLE! My friend and I are pros and we were slaughtered...but if you're new, and play easy, it's fun, yet slightly too easy.

If you want to play Tribes play the PC version

I tried this game both on ps and on a computer, and I advise you to play the PC version of it (called very originally Tribes 2) because with mouse and keyboard playing is a lot easier(you can be very good with a joystick but a player using a keyboard would beat you anyways), and you have the possibility to communicate with a chat with other players, that makes this game experience really "multiplayer".

It is a good Game I must say the graphics are good the controls get tricky at times I must say but you can change it so when you click one player off line on line 2 player off line or on line go to controls and do Invert X and Y axis and the problem is gone.
training Helps a good bit just do the campaign I say till 3 levels to the end of the game and it helps allot when you do online or off line because Campaign puts you in that stealthy mood and gets you using lots of C-4s which is rare and good weapon use.
