No Worries!

Maaate! This game is a lot of fun. You play as Ty, the coolest game character in a long while. Ty has his own moves such as a powerful bite and an unreal collection of boomerangs such as a Flamerang (fire), Frostyrang (icy) as well as Zoomerangs, Doomerangs and Kaboomerangs. There's a lot of exploring to do if you want toget all of the gems Ty needs to move through the game, but it's well worth it. Ty has a lot of mates who give him advice and ask him for help but Maurie is the best. He's always giving Ty a hard time. And if you get tired of Maurie's attitude, you can always throw a boomerang at him :)
.

Ty the Tasmanian Tigers excels as an action-platformer....

I'll be the first to admit, Ty isn't very original nor does he offer anything new to the hordes of platform games out there yet what he does have that no one else out there has is attitude. I mean, how many games do you know that has outhouses for checkpoints? EA did a commendable job with Ty. Presentation and plot are top notch as well as gameplay and control. My only gripe has to be with the camera. Other than that, it's a fun game to play and I highly recommend to all platform game fiends. It's well worth a look.

Great Game

All the reviews are very accurate. Everyone in our family has loved it, even though it was purchased for my 4 yearold. We tried several Disney games but this one finally taught my son how to play the PS2. It is a perfect game for novice players (me), young players, and experienced players(Dad). The hard stuff we let Dad do. There is an automatic save during the game and the objectives are clear. My child doesn't become frustrated because if your character bites it, well, he just comes out the nearest dunny without having to start over. Ahhhh. Very fun game. I hope they come out with another one.

Above average platform game with very funny dialogue.

I love platform games (Spyro, Mario64, DK64, Crash, Banjo, Jak & Daxter, Rayman, etc..) and this is an above average platform game. It is not too short and not too difficult. It falls more along the lines of Spyro & Rayman 2 but it looks alot like DK 64. Great for young teens & obsessive adults like me. I rented it & finished it in 4 days. A few problems, there is NO 'game guide' like Brady games, NO good online sources, NO good maps. Oh well, there is one helpful cheat code.

LOVE IT!

I want a Ty 2! I love this game. It reminds me of Spyro; cute character, collecting things, wandering around, mini-games for gems...There was one scale I couldn't get and one other thing, but the code to cast streamers from the sky worked really well. Why hasn't a second game been made yet?!

AWESOME! ONE OF THE BEST VIDEO GAMES EVER!

Okay. Let me start by saying that this video game is absolutely incredible. It is very similar to Jak and Daxter and Spyro, yes, but that's exactly why it attracted me in the first place. I love "brightly colored" games, that aren't too dark and spooky. Ty is perfect. This game doesn't make you think very hard, and it doesn't make you work, but it's very entertaining, and well worth your time (and money).

This is a great game! It copies Jak and Daxter though. It has awesome graphics! Theres lots of boomerangs and you will enjoy playing it over and over again. If you like this game you should buy Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper.

Buy this!

I rented this game when it first came out because it looked cute. I was hoping it might be a little like Spyro and it is! I loved it so much I bought it. I really wish that they had made a strategy guide though, because just like the Spyro games, it's important to collect everything!! There are hidden pictures, red gems, etc. Plenty of mini-games to make things fun and interesting. Having it be beatable but not too easy was a plus and I really hope they make a TY 2! If you like Spyro, you will like this! The FIRST game since Spyro I have loved. I don't know why the reviews weren't very good though. Better game than Jak,Ratchett, and Sly Cooper.

Down Under + Ty = Great Game!

In the new EA Games franchise, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, you find yourself knee deep in a rich gaming world just waiting to be explored by way of the rang'. In this day and age it is quite common to walk past the bodies of dead adventure franchises that tried to be something other than original. While Ty doesn't exactly strike new ground, he does offer an exciting well designed frag fest of grand adventure set Down Under. His movements are entertaining and easy to grasp while the environments are quite rich and full of interaction. The controls are great minus the sometimes sticky camera angles, a problem common in most action/adventure platform titles of this generation. Overall, I only gave 4 out of 5 because I know that with time and a little tweaking, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger can and will be a continuing character in gaming available to crunch and throw rang' with on the likes of Boss Cass among others for years to come.

Stunning!

I LOVE this game. A long-time Spyro fan, I love the concept of running around and collecting things. If you love Spyro, pick this up. (Also see that Ty 2 was released without much notice.)
I just wish this game had an official strategy guide - don't worry - you can find a pictureless ( :( ) one online. Be on the lookout for Ty's cute little Aussie accent. Instead of fire breath? (Boome)RANGS to buy with special features. Ice, fire, electricity...
Now I want a plushy.
