As Always Tony Hawk = 5 Star Purchase

There's just no getting around it these days. Any of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games and especially this last installment deserve your money and attention NOW! For those of you new to the concept crawl out from the rock you've been hiding under for the past 3+ years! For those familiar with the platform here's what's new: new tricks, special tricks, more skaters, better more skatable environments, a park editor that lets you create your own park, harder more challenging goals. There are also some cool hidden characters like DARTH MAUL, WOLVERINE, OFFICER DICK, etc. This is definitely a game that will keep you occupied for a long period of time (unless you use the cheats) and always fun to play no matter how many times you've solved it. All of these things= best game on Gamecube system so far! Buy it now!

Gamecube can kick it up a bit over the ps2 version!!!!!

Tony hawk is back in his 3rd video game! Tony Hawk's Proskater 3!
I have number #1 and #2 and compared to #3, the other ones are nothing. With more playable characters and levels than ever available, be prepared to sit on your floor(couch) playing this until it's beaten! (and there is also some really cool secret characters including,: Darth Maul, Wolverine, Officer Dick, Private Carrera, Ollie the Magic Bum, Kelly Slater, Demoness & The Neversoft Eyeball Guy!; type in code, FREAKSHOW to get them all) Interactive civilians and pedestrians walk around you and go on with their life, which is rather fun to watch. Large Levels which are seemingly never ending! and much, much more!
The graphics on this game are incredible, the sound is great, the soundtrack is pretty good, the wide variety of customizations in Create-a-skater mode is incredible! And all in all I rate this game a 5-Star! I hope you would feel the same way about this game :)

Thankyou for Reading.

No doubt about it, this game is great!! the graphics, gameplay, sound etc. are fantastic except there's one set back... Bob Burnquist is no longer in the game! He was the best skater in THPS 1 and 2 but why was he dismissed in THPS 3?

You will have a blast playing all the 8 levels, including LA,Tokyo,Canada,Suburbia,Foundry,Skaters Island,Rio, and the one I thought the best, the Airport. Amazing gameplay with give you a blast non stop. The graphics are astonishing. They have new moves included too. If you Can't decide over a game, choose THPS3!!

I haven't really touched the Tony Hawk franchise until now, because A)I'm not a fan of extreme skateboarding in real life and B)there have been so many iterations that I didn't know what version to start with. But I grabbed Tony Hawk 1 for the N64, and was instantly hooked. Tony Hawk 3 continues that fun experience.

When you get down to it, the differences between the first three versions at least are minimal. You have a large arena to skate in, and must complete certain objectives (nabbing a high score, helping people collect items, finding a secret tape, etc). The thing is the controls are so well-realized and the levels so varied that you'll always want to come back for another round, until you've spent hours trying to rack up that last high score. Each level has easy and hard objectives, and completing them in ascending order of difficulty really gives the player a sense of accomplishment.

The graphics are average with some good skater animations. This isn't a huge leap from N64 to Gamecube, but its a noticible one that the later versions continued to build from. Tony Hawk 3 also comes with another selection of songs for your pleasure, and as usual theres something for everyone. If you haven't played any of the Tony Hawk series, start from the N64/PSX games and work your way up. If you're wondering what versions to get, they're all so well-executed and cheap now that it might be worth your money to try them all.

Better than anything the franchise has seen previously.

Since its inception midway through the original Playstation's life cycle, the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise has provided gamers with the possibility to enjoy thrashing up a neighborhood while completing ridiculous objectives and having a good time in general. This, the franchise's third entry and the first to appear on the GameCube, only continues the trend, while somehow upping the ante to a level it has never reached previously.

Basically, you skate through around eight areas--three of them competitions--and complete challenges such as smashing several pumpkins or reaching a new high score. As before, you have a time limit to accomplish this, which makes the whole experience quite a challenge at first.

Until you realize the benefits of the revert.

New to the franchise, this move allows you to come down from a flip and keep a combo going. Scoring possibilities are endless as a result of this, and you are likely to soon find yourself relying on it.

The locations this time around really take advantage of your moves, as they always have. It's great fun to work your way through a whole level without stopping a single combo, and now it's theoretically possible. You can go through the suburbs, a cruise ship, an airport, and more. Great fun.

Music is also nice, despite a few lyrics some might find objectionable. Good music abounds, the kind of stuff that doesn't grow tedious as quickly as typical punk ... you might hear on the soundtrack of an inferior title.

Graphically, the title is a treat to the eys. Nothing really sticks out as bad, despite huge, open areas. There's not the detail some might have hoped for--sidewalks are flat slabs, halfpipes relatively devoid of shadows--but the improvement is easily seen. And since it goes well with everything else, there's really no reason to complain.

That sentiment holds true for the whole package. I've heard people say the game is too easy, but part of the joy of this franchise has always been challenging oneself. With Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, the possibility to do so has reach an all-new level. This one's hard to top.

Really fun game

I was really impressed with this game. I loved the soundtrack. I would be addicted for hours just free skating in the levels(really sweet levels, you can even unlock levels from Tony Hawk 1). You can unlock lots of characters and the movie for each skater is really cool. This is definitely a game you will love to play.
