GameBoy Advanced is the greatest thing since Pizza

Nintendo GBA is a modern Marvel; it not only plays the latest games but also all older compatible GameBoy ones! The GBA games have vastly improved since the last generation of GameBoy, both in speed, game memory and graphics - it truly makes this machine a portable entertainment system for all ages and not just younger kids as was the case with GameBoy. Some people like to compare the machine to an older SNES, but I would rather compare the machine to above that of a PlayStation - we have only just seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to games on this machine. When we compare and add up the entire year worth of trips to the cinema, then this is truly low cost entertainment.

I bought my GBA a few days ago and also bought Tony Hawk, Mario, and F-Zero. The price seemed fare especially for the system itself. Don't think that the price will go down. GBC hasn't gone done in price sinse its debut almost 4 years ago. Even after GBA hit the stores.

The refresh rate for all if these games was exceptional and the graphics were stunning. Sound has been much improved by the headphone jack that can transmit stereo and dolby surround sound as well! The actual system itself is quite small and compact which is good so it fits in one's pocket. The screen has also been improved as it is wider then GBC. Sprites and close to 3D graphics are displayed on the screen as the hot titles are played. There are already 3-4 FPS(First Person Shooters) in production already including Doom.

Of course every system has its drawbacks. The screen is very refelctive so you can see yourself quite easily while gaming. Also, the screen only works well in controlled light and a lot of it. A worm light or equivalent works well.

I bought this system because i wanted something to do during long airplane trips and car rides. I recommend it to the active traveler and gamer. Nintendo has hit the jackpot!

Game Boy Advance offers a plethora of super powered features that make playing games on this portable system delightful. For example, the playing screen is much larger than the system's predecessors, the orginal Gameboy and Gameboy Color. While the screen is larger, Nintendo has made sure to make Advance as light and portable as its other wireless systems. Further, the power in this little gaming computer will amaze children and grownups alike. Game Boy Advance has even more power than the Super Nintendo that enjoyed certain popularity in the mid-90's. This beefed up power insures rapid character movement and a plethora of vibrant game colors.

The only drawback that I have found to date concerns the game screen not being backlit. While you can easily purchase a "Worm Light" for the system for a mere ... that will enable appropriate lighting for game play, be aware that there are tons of different Worm Lights on the market, and not all of them are compatible with Gameboy Advance. Therefore, look specifically for Worm Light PLUS.

Other cool accessories include a super-charged battery pack that allows users to play the system for over ten hours without running out of energy.

Why be like every other bozo running around with a GLACIER colored GBA? Be a little different and get the white (Arctic) colored one! Then it will be more like a SNES, which the GBA basically is anyways...

So why am I talking about the color instead of why this is a good system? Because you already know how good it is, that's why... ;-)

I think it is the best gameboy yet;since now it has 32-bit,and 15 hours of gameplay!My cousin has one and he lend it to me,it was so light in wieght! I got a gameboy color and I compared it to the GBA;the GBA is so much funner than my gameboy color.I'm now saving up money so I can buy it.

The GameBoy Advance is the coolest thing yet in handheld gaming. The GBA has great sound, great graphics, great gameplay, a bigger screen, and many other features. Although it has a 32-bit Cpu, its graphic capabilty isn't as good as the Playstaion or Sega Saturn. But, its still a wonderful system. Like another review says, its great for plane and car trips. It gets the hours to fly by. Thank God there are no more beeps for sound, the sound on the GBA is now stereo and not Mono. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 is just plain...WOW. I love the game and I think everyone else will too. Its sort of hard to see at times, and the wormlight works good in those situations. Super Mario is also a blast, and even better with multi-player. All I can say is but this package,it is definitely worth the price .

Hmm, I wonder when Sony will come out with a Handheld? Ahh, the possibilites...

This is one of the pre-order sales I've seen as late. Others have a similiar package but their supply is little to none. I say buy the extra five dollars for the worlds greatest console to date.

Game Boy advance while offering it's own line of games plays all the old classic game boy games too. It's debut on June 11 is sure to be a sell out for this gameing system.
