Terrible then, even worse now

Yes, people, this game sucks big time. This game came with the original Nintendo system back in late 1980s. I had a hard time trying to beat this game because the control was down right horrible. Most of the time you'll jump off edges by accident. And who ... would pay ... to relive the nightmare of this game? Apparent, 82 people who reviewed this game and my friend did.

THIS IS THE WORST GAME EVER

I know the chart sez the lowest raiting for a game is 1 star well i give this game negative -5 stars. I rented this game hoping to find something that was really cool and instead i almost puiqed. This game doesnt even have yoshi. I love my gameboy color but this game disgraces the whole idea of having fun. The main reason being the graphics are extreamely poor and its just not fun at all. I know the other game reviews for this game say its sooooo good, well I dont know, but they got some really really bad taste. I rented the game for one of those 5 day rental things and i took it back that very day. If i was you i would listen to my reivew and reconsider buying this game because it is the worst game in the entire world as we know it.

Very short and FRUSTRATING!

I got this game last year and it's really frustrating! When I started. I beat this game in 1 day, and on the 2nd day I unlocked all the secrets and bonus levels, and filled out the album. And on that day after lunch I beat that Point meter thingie and completed The lost levels. The losy levels were very
frustrating because of the game's horrible controls. The music in
each level was really lame compared to the SNES'. I give this
boorish game 2 stars because of the graphics and the extras. Everything else in this game stinks like a hog pen.

So-so

This game was okay, but impossibly difficult and bland. The actual game is okay, but the fortune telling is lots of fun! So is the rest of the stuff in the Toy Box. Also, there are shortcuts that allow you to entirely skip levels! They are in the "Dark Levels," or dungeons.

This Game is very old!

This game is very old. You could buy it on the very old Nintendo system. It is not very fun and there are not many moves. I recommend you save your $$ and buy another game.

REPEAT

I really dont understand why this game gets such a high rating. I mean all it is is an exact duplicate of the 1985 NES version converted to the Game Boy with a few extra modes of gameplay and extras added into it. I suppose for those who were to young and have not experienced the 8 bit Nintendo days it is good for them to experience the game too. But lets face it if there is any game that most video gamers have played at some point in there lives Super Mario Bros for the Nes is it. All this Game Boy version is is a fine conversion of the first Super Mario Bros to the handheld console and not much more. Great for kids that are young now though who missed out on the Nintendo 8 bit days.

Not long enough

This game is to short, it is to easy to finish. There is not enough to keep you interested once you've finished the actual game. There are gimicy little things added but they only keep you interested for about half and hour. More levels needed.

Mario it's for Gameboy color but it's the same old Mario

Well this game has a few changes to the original game. Like you get to race Boo the ghost once you beat his scroce on 1 player. Also with the link cable you can race your friend to see who ever beats the level first. Also with the race you can use the fireballs when your Fire Mario and blow your oppement off the screen. I never really did 2 player before but that's what I heard. You can hunt for red coins. There are 5 in every level. It's a nice challedge going to find them all in all the stages. And of course I would never not include this you can do stages what are harder then regular stages. By pressing on Luigi head when the game finished loading up. But you will have to beat Luigi scroce in the origanal game to get that. But the rest is all the same doing the exact same origanal game. It's okay but that's the only changes to the game. I my self in some ways would radder get it for Super nintendo. Then you have a bigger screen and everything. It really get annoying and your stomach starts hurting after straining your self in front of the Game boy screen for a cumple of hours. But all and all it's nothing wrong to have almost the same game. I mean the origanal Mario game is still good and this one has a few changes. So this game okay auctally I perfer it for you if you go on lots of trips. Because remember Game boy is portible. So it's an okay game if you like mario type games.

I remember the original

I bought this game the other day thinking it would be a good game the only reviews that I had seen were good reviews. Well I disagree. I played the original game on my NES which I still have. The game is awful. The grafics are good but the game play is not nearly what I thought it would be. I would think that nintendo would spend more time on game play than grafics on this one. As a matter of fact Mario is stuck in the castle for 7-4. There doesnt seem to be anything in the castle and he runs out of time before he gets to the end of the castle.

a good game but not the best

the game is ok but it is just like the 85 version i think there should have been some added additions to make it more interesting.
