This is such a great game with plot substance and believeable characters with faults and lives that are faithfully kept to throughout the story but the characters still manage to grow and change as the circumstances change I would definetly buy this and the sequel if you love RPG you will love this

whoa, if i could i would give this game 8 stars. it is truly a great peice of work, of course like all games it does have a down side, the dialogue for the anime cut scenes sadly "is bad" (straws) but the anime art, andplot is absolutely fantastic, the battleing system and graphics aren't all that but the storyline makes up for it. well crocodile dundee is about to show so untill next time i'm LARQ.

Lunar SSS is an amazing game. The storyline is so perfectly put together, and it's so moving. The old school graphics i think enhance the game by making it a little more fun. I play a lot of RPG's and i definitely think that the story in Lunar has not been surpassed by any other game. It is one of the greatest RPG's of all time.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RPG'S I'VE EVER PLAYED. GREAT STORY, FUN GAMEPLAY, EXCELLENT ANIMATION, AND A GREAT PACKAGE. ALONG WITH THE GAME, YOU GET A LUNAR SILVER STAR STORY COMPLETE SOUNDTRACK CD AND A "MAKING OF LUNAR" CD. NOT ONLY IS THIS A GREAT GAME, BUT IT'S THE MOST MEMORABLE.

Lunar: Siver Star Story is definitely one of the best games i have ever played, i for one enjoy the old schooled style graphics, but even thoughs who do not should not not considerer this game because of that. Excellent FMVs and nice voice acting, as well as the wonderfully entreging story line makes this game a must have for all RPG fans. (Suikoden I and II are in my oppinion the best games ever created.)

Hello RPGers. You are in for a real treat. Lunar: The Silver Star Story complete is going to be one of the most satisfying video RPGs you will ever play. If you are a real Anime fan as well, then you're really going to love this one. Lunar is after all, the reason this gamer kept his Sega cd around for so long after it was a dead system. The game was so good, I couldn't bring myself to retire it. The story was interesting and moved along quickly, the art was good, and for years Playstation offered nothing that could compete with this game. The phenomenal Reputation of Working Designs for great games was made on this game. Not to mention that Sega CD got a short lived but notable shot in the arm on it's release. Everybody I know who had the system got it just to play Lunar. Now W.D. has revamped the original and expanded it into a 4 disc event that blows away everything done since the original Lunar was released. Even the F.F. series that has been getting so much attention lately. The great part is, that while making several minor changes to keep old time Lunar fans interested, a large part of the original game has keen preserved in tact. The graphics are in a 2d anime style, that I find easier on the eyes and more pleasant than a lot of the polygon graphics out there, and the music is masterful. Working designs has added a lot of extra animations and has brought back the original cast of voice actors to revise their parts. Wonderful. This game is to the original what the revised Star Wars pictures are to the first run movies. The charactor development within this game is phenomenaly good. The variety of spells and abilities are quite impressive, and the number of charactors you'll end up bringing into battle ranges from one to five. No more picking three charactors and leaving the rest to suffer the ignominy of arrested developement. ( You listening FF?) I can't say it enough. There are few games as good as this one. Get it. This one will be a collectors item. Folks, There are RPGs and there's Lunar. Nothing else comes close. Years after it's original release, this game is still my absolute favorite.( If I have anything bad to say about this release it is simply this: I would have liked W.D. to have kept the original opening song. In this release it has been replaced with a slower peice. Small loss, but about the only dissappointment.)

A great game!

This is a awsome game! I played the Lunar version on SagaCD and Lunar Bluemoon ,but I do belive I like this version better then the SegaCD's version. For one this one has way more cartoons and voice fetures, and the graphics are a little better. But I would call it a tie betwine this and Lunar bluemoon. I licked the music more on the SegaCD version but this one has pretty cool music too! The graphics are not all that great but the spells and story line are awsome! Not to mension the cartoons thay are pretty entertaining while playing the game. it only took me 34 hours to beat the game ( Not that long in my opinion) but it is a fun game and I highly recommend it!

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete was my introduction to the world of RPGs. At the opening of the game, I immediately took to Alex and his winged companion, Nall, whose attitude tends to improve the overall humor of the game. The boss battles are fun, if slightly unimaginative. (Your first enemy is a giant blob on a boat) My only real complaint is the choice of voice actor for Nall. A male, cat sized animal should not sound like a small woman who's been inhaling helium! The storyline is fun as it takes the player from the lair of Quark, the white dragon, to the other magical and even the less tasteful places on Lunar. From the floating island of Vane, where the Magic Guild is located, to the four dragons, to the springs (where your characters can bathe in segregated comfort), and finally to. . . well, I'll let you play the game to see the rest. The package also comes with a (slightly stinky) map of the world, a "Making of Lunar" CD that shows you what went into putting the game together, and a wonderful music CD. I would reccomend this game to anyone who loves RPGs or fantasy adventures. A friend of mine was a hard-core FF7 and FF8 fan who insisted he would never enjoy a "Kiddy fairy tale" game. That same friend is now a huge fan of Lunar, and is eagerly awaiting the release of the sequel, Eternal Blue, along with me. Oh yeah, if you're wondering, yes, Lunar does take place on what we know as the moon, and Eternal Blue is. . .you guessed it, the Earth. Hey, you never know, maybe some day we'll be living on the moon and talking to dragons too. . . then again, maybe not.

This was the first RPG I ever played, and I have to admit that I really, really liked it. At the time. The graphics are a little old-fashioned, and the combat is menu-driven, but aside from that, it was a really good game. The story starts out as a little kid's adventure, but then unfolds into a tale of love, honor, and (sometimes) humor as the Magic Emperor begins his crushing advance onto Althena's world of Lunar. If I say any more, I'll probably give the whole thing away. The weapons are pretty nice and fighting the monsters isn't as easy as in some RPGs.
