when my parents gave me need for speed most wanted black edition at 2005's christmas,I was very excited by this new EA game. If you're wondering what is the big difference between the original most wanted and the black edition the black edition brings unique vinyls and an extra challenge in challenge mode that's cool! So if you want to see the difference between the original most wanted and the black edition, I would strongly suggest to buy need for speed most wanted black edition.
Trust me.

I enjoyed playing the Need for Speed 1 back on the PSX... after awhile I stopped liking those kind of games and retired from the need for speed... then my brother got the NfS: Underground 2... awesome the way you could modify your cars and create the most powerfull machines to race on the game... I retook that on GameCube but suddenly felt the need for MORE as I started working in a different company and the guys here they were playing Most Wanted for PC...

I really felt the urge to acquire the Most Wanted and I did, but not for PC as my Home computer was not the best out there... I got it for PS2! Awesome game, then I realized as I am a collector of some type I decided to look for Black Edition, unfortunatly they told me as I was not fast enough the black edidion was sold FAST as HOT BREAD!

Finally, after 2 months of desperate looking, acquiring enough money by selling the normal edition I was able to purchase the game through amazon at the price of $65 when it was going for over $150... thank God and since then as both games dont share memories I had to start all over again doing the best I can... getting all the cars of all the rivals!

This is an out of the screen expirience, I recommend it highly, if you have the money and wish to purchase any of the games, better get the Black Edition if you can, its same thing +2 Cars +1 Rival more and +3 more challenges on the special challenges outside of the career mode!

I found this game for under $60 at my local Target. It's a great game and you shouldn't have to pay an exorbitant price for it from a reseller.

When i first heard that this game was comming out i didnt think much of it until my friend bought it and we played. might i just say that i was stunned at the amazing quality of the pictures, chases, cars and scenery. i have never played a racing game that can just about compare to grand turismo 4 but none-the-less it is the better of all need 4 speeds made

this is the best need for speed game to date. a game that experienced gamers will take right to and also novice ones can definately enjoy. progressing difficulty through the levels will definately provide a challenge and also build your skill so you can eventually beat # 1

This is definitely a game for racing fans and people who love tuning cars. In this game they actually have the exotic cars (Porsche, Lamborghini), which makes it even better. They also added cops in this game, which they never had in the previous Underground games.

Now to the game. In this game there are alot of cars. You can race from the old school muscle cars to a tuned up race car. And even the police have nice and fast cars. But they can be really tough at times (especially the SUVs).

The Storymode actually kept my interest throughout the whole game (unlike the others that were quite boring). There is a Blacklist that you must beat in order to become the #1 most wanted. In this Blacklist, there are 15 experienced Street racers that you must beat in order to get to the top. They each have their strengths, so it can get quite challenging at times. Another cool but at the same time annoying thing is when the cops interfere in the middle of a race and once you beat the race, you have to escape them. So it's very interesting and fun.

As for the gameplay, it's actually easy to get used to, even though it may seem difficult. It's also not complicated (PS2 version), it's mainly like the previous Need for Speeds. So you'll learn it like after the first race.

The graphics are one of the things that caught my attention. It's just so smooth and seems real. And the videos also seem very realistic and are always fun to watch and can be funny (when you get busted by a woman).

Overall, there's not much else to say except, go out and buy this game if you love racing games. Oh yes, and buy the Black edition!

An EA classic

EA has once again made a wonderful failure of a game. How suprising. I predicted this game would be horrible, and I was right.

First, I bought this game for PC. I found out it did not work, and returned it. I couldnt get my money back, but I managed to convince them to atleast let me trade in the PC version for the PS2 version. Bad idea. The game, right from the start, proves that EA has no idea what their talking about with these games. I had gotten my hopes up that I wouldnt have some man-lady of a girlfriend to annoy me. But, first cutscene, there she is. Awsome. Her first line gave me an idea where this game was going. "Let him shift first". Genius.

This might be a good game, if it werent for the police chases. I understand, their part of the game, and are very fun..until stage 3. After stage 3, you pretty much have to resort to glitches to get away (such as the Bus Stop and Stadium). If you can make it there, that is. The spikestrips are my biggest problem. If you touch one (hey, its either that or hit the heavy SUV resulting in you getting boxed in), you lose. Chase over. Awsome.

Next up, the races. Oooooh my. In the last games, I found it easy to beat them. In this game, exact opposite. Its nearly impossible. I would tell you about the painful ending to this game, but I dont want to revisit it. Back on subject, the opponents are very difficult. It seems that, the more you get ahead of them, the faster they gain. Races are not fun, and they eliminated drifting. Horrible.

Next up, the music. Why does EA think street racers all be talkin like this, man? Know what I be sayin, G? I thinkin dey be trippin fo sho'. Not only do they think everyone talks like that, they think everyone listens to music in wich everyone talks like that. I was happy to see Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed on the list. I was unhappy to see the songs. Both are weak. "Blinded in Chains" isnt bad, but i'd have rather seen "Sidewinder" or "Bat Country". As for Disturbed, "Decadence" is a terrible song, wich should be replaced by "Voices" or "Ten Thousand Fists". Oh well.

The Black Edition is a waste of money. The BMW is useless (suprise), and the Camaro sucks. WHY did they use a '67 SS? If they were smart (or if they werent EA), they'd have put somthing awsome in, like a '68 Yenko S/C. THAT would be fun. But I guess the boring '67 fits the rest of the game. Dull and a waste of time.

Finally, I finish with your rivals. To put it simply, their all idiots. EA drives this fact into the ground with every SMS message, cutscene, etc. For the cutscenes, I skip them. SMS messages, however, are a different story. I just hit the "re-play message" button again and again so I dont have to hear their voices.

If you REALLY want this game, rent it first. Please dont waste your money buying it, because you'll probobly regret it.

The Hardest NeedforSpeed Game yet!

I just bought the Need for Speed most Wanted game and it's great. It was very hard after blacklist number 11 but as hard as it came even to the challeges all the way up to Black list 1 was worth every dollar. I wish I would of bought the Black Edition in stead of the regular version. It excludes you from 4 cars and I really looked forward to getting the Corvette C6.R at 100% but to realize it's for the Black Edition only along with the Camero 67 and so on But the BMW M3 GTR I thought was the best in the game. So if I were you if you want the full 100% of Most Wanted get the Black Edition don't get the regular version.
