To start off, I'll say the first Fighting Force is a decent beat 'em up game for PS and N64 and it was a fun game with a friend. But this FF is a different story. Eidos/Core tried to change FF into a more story oriented game and kind of mimic other games a bit with a mastermind one man army. So they threw away the idea of a team of a "Fighting Force" and along with it the fun co-op gameplay.

Fighting Force 2 has very good ideas, decent graphics on the DC version and an OK plot, but it suffers really bad on just about everything from bad controls, horrid sound, frustration, repetitiveness, unclear objectives and etc. These bad things will really tick you off and you may wanna smash your controller on the ground.

The concepts are cool though. You can use lots of cool weapons like in the original and you can smash everything, which is always a good thing in my book. But it gets repetitive and you'll grow tired halfway through the levels.

All in all. This game can be fun, but you may grow tired after ten minutes of playing it and it will tick you off quite a bit. If you like Eidos/Core stuff, you may enjoy this...a little bit. I did(a little bit).

Eidos has the Unique label of making the BEST game I have ever played, Deus Ex, and the WORST BY FAR game I have ever touched, this Fighting Force 2. Camera angles are horrible, gameplay is boring and horrible, story is horrible, sound is horrible, graphics are horrible, do you see a pattern here?
Most EIDOS games are not worth buying, and I DID RETURN this game. It insults my position as a buyer looking for a good game. (If I was only a tester for this before they released it!!)

This game is fun the first time through. Opponents are dumb, slow, and seemingly unresponsive. Limited number of combat moves. Each level takes approx. 30 minutes to complete, with no opportunity to save your progress until you have passed the mission, which can be frustrating. The positives are game play and graphics. Camara angles are superb and environments are realistic. Good weapons, but you can only carry a few at a time.

Don't waist your time with this game.

First of all, I am 15, so I'm mainly speaking to the adolesence age group of gamers, a different age group(a younger one)may not agree with this review. This game is absolutely horrible. If you are thinking about buying it, do yourself a favor and don't. You know that little scene on the cover where the main character is fighting that guy on a bridge, that's about all you do through the entire game. It is sooooo boring. There's no actual goal for you to accomplish, you just go around beating up people, and if you think that means a lot of action, your wrong. Even the fighting itself will put you to sleep. I have to give it one thing though, they picked a great title,"Fighting Force", because that's all you do. You don't get much use from your weapons, since they just go away after so much use, what I mean is, you don't get to hold on to them that long. It's like they just break or something. It has a lasting appeal of about 3 minutes. The graphicsc are pretty good, the sound though, makes it even more boring. And the game play is very poor. I advice anyone ot go and rent this game, before you buy it, and I gaurantee you'll have second thoughts.

The reason for my low score is this I have more of a questionthan a comment for the readers out there. I feel the game would bemore fun if I could advance out of a specific room. If I can explainit right. It's the room where you shoot the computors ,chairs, copymachine, soda machine etc. (I know there's a lot of rooms like that)it's about the 3rd or 4th room and I go to the corner of the room towhat seems to be a door but when I approach it there's an X above myhead and I'm pressing all of my buttons to open the so called door andit won't open. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET OUT OF THIS ROOM!!! other wiseI would really enjoy this (despite some bad reviews) game! Any helpwould be useful...

Actually, I would give this 3 1/2 stars. The thing is, it's medicore, has middling graphics, average repetitive gameplay, and can be tough to beat. So it's not that much fun in single player. But where it shines is multiplayer! I can't tell you how fun it is to hook up with some of your friends and unload on all the baddies in this game. Added bonuses are the guns and stuff you can pick up. Final Fight games were always meant to be played with a friend, just like the Double Dragon games before it. Get it if you've got friends and controllers; pass it if you're a lonely gamer with no friends.

10 Dollars can be to much for a Dreamcast Game

Graphics are nice, running around and blowing everything up is nice, walking up to an enemy, beating the daylights out of him while his partner sits there and watches you isn't very nice. Having enemy's randomly span out of walls to run out an fight you isn't nice, repetative gameplay isn't nice, running back and forth over levels looking for the proper key/switch isn't nice. All in all, this game has more not so nice features then nice ones.

How did this game get a decent rating from people? Well, alot of people bought Deer Hunter as well.
