Fun comic book type game

In Marvel Super Heroes:War Of The Gems, there are six infinity gems. Each gem controls a different force of either time, space, power, reality, mind, or soul. Together, they have limitless power. A super hero named Adam Warlock suspects that a foe, known as Thanos wants to capture all six of the infinity gems and to use them as power to make the people of the world and universe become his slaves. Adam Warlock is very troubled and worried about this situation, so he sends a message to Earth, asking if 5 of the world's super heroes could come and help him. He is just in luck, because 5 of the world's superheroes have answered the call. Captain America, Spider-man, Wolverine, Hulk, and Iron Man come to help Adam Warlock to help him prevent the gems from falling into the wrong hands. The 5 heroes will travel to different places all over the world in search of the infinity gems. They will encounter hordes of evil doubles of some of them and evil doubles of other heroes, too that are not in the game. A super hero named Dr.Strange will help the heroes in one level, the heroes will meet up with some nasty super villains known as Dr.Doom, Blackheart, Magus, Nebula and the all-powerful Thanos. If the heroes manage to defeat Thanos and find all six of the infinity gems, they will be the rulers of the universe!

This game has great comic book graphics, sound effects, music, levels, story, and characters. But the problem is that it doesn't take really long to finish. If anyone is a master at this fun game , then they can finish it in one day. There are passwords and the company "Capcom" nicely included the Avengers' training room in their base where you can fight virtual images of some of the games evil hero doubles and some of the games villains. This game is just 1 player. All in all, this game rocks the house.

This is one of the funest superhero games i have played. It includes 5 great and popular superheros. Captain America, Iron Man,Spider-Man, The Hulk & None other than Wolverine from the X-Men. The heroes have sworn to protect earth no matter what and thats what they uttend to do in this action packed video game presented from supernintendo.

If you liked this game check out the sequel to it Marvel Superheros figting edition

Thanos has stolen 6 gems and a couple of heroes are chosen to retrieve them. Positives: Wolverine, Spiderman, Hulk, Captain American and Iron Man all have their own special moves. Hulk long arms and brute strength make him the ideal choice to defeat the last boss Thanos. Spiderman and Wolverine's quick speed make them the ideal choice to defeat any boss that is bigger than them(Blackheart, Dr Doom etc). Once you retrieve some of the gems you can use their powers for anything and one of them even gives you double life bars. Negatives: If you get hit, you take 5 seconds just to get back up. A lot of bosses like the evil Puck and the evil Daredevil are a pain in the [...] to deal with especially when their grappling moves take too much energy. Your bosses always have two life bars. Other than that this was a good game that I didnt regret buying. I'd recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Marvel Superheroes games.

This is an excellent game for the SNES. It isn's very long and if you know what you are doing you can easily beat the game in a little over an hour, but the gameplay is great. The controls feel like a side scrolling Streetfighter or Mortal Kombat. The character selection is good and they all have there usefulness in different levels. Overall i would say this game is a great buy for collectors and casual gamers alike.

A Marvel disappointment!

Not nearly as bad as the crappy Marvel titles released for NES plus Arcade's Revenge, but Marvel messes up again. I thought the game was going to be exciting because Capcom created it (like Mutant Apocalypse) and it has the best selection of Marvel heroes to choose from, but in the end turns out to be a huge disappointment! Not only this game is unfairly difficult, but the gameplay was awful. The only useful character is Wolverine. Spiderman was suppose to be quick, agile, and strong, but the dumb game designers turned him into a little stiff wimp. Worst characters than Spidey are the Hulk and Iron Man of which both are the slowest and very clumsy. Captain America is a average character, but he's suppose to be better! Executing the characters special moves are much difficult and less responsive than in Mutant Apocalypse, and you could break your SNES controller buttons by trying to execute the power crystals (its nearly impossible). I wished they had more variety in the clones because
beating the same clones were boring, especially those annoying Pucks and Hawkeyes. I beat the game, but its still not worth it. Why create a Marvel Super Heroes beat em' up game (that is not 2 player co-op) by making the Marvel Comics All Star lineup weaker and slower than slugs!?! Please do not get this game, its sucks!
