The Terminator

Fun but hard. Little harder than T2: Judgment Day. Graphics are better than T2. Almost based on the smach hit. A must-have for Die-Hard Terminator fans or for collecting. You are Kyle Reese, your mission: Get out of the future and go to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor. Good game.

A tip: Get a game genie because this is a hard game!

Like Aladdin, this is one of the few licensed products that turned out good before the time of Goldeneye 007 for N64. This game in some ways reminds me of Contra III for SNES, another fun side-scrolling shooter. Since, if you really like movies you should know The Terminator's storyline, so I'm not going to explain it. This game has some good replay value to it, but it does need some work to be perfect and more awesome. The enemies you kill in the game mostly consist of the machines and thugs on the street when you travel time to 1984. So it basically works the same as the movie. If you like Contra, you'll like The Terminator as well because it manages to accomplish a lot for a licensed product, especially for that time period in which so many licensed products sucked to the greatest extent possible. So bravo to Mindscape and Capcom for creating some of the first good licensed products which were actually a lot of fun.
