The expansive features on the Sims 2 Deluxe makes for a much better and continuously entertaining game. You are to customize most anything you want to, though it is quite time consuming. I highly recommend this game.

It is definitely better than sims 2 for Xbox. It's smashing at first but it kind of loses it's momentum as you progress. If you don't have at least once expansion pack I think it would have been a bit dull. Overall it was a pretty good game.

I love The Sims, but I don't understand the point of releasing a "deluxe" pack with just the base game and one expansion pack. To me, it seems more logical to wait until all of the expansion packs have been released, then put out a Complete Collection, like they did with The Sims 1. Or, at least, throw in a couple more expansions than just Nightlife.

Maybe this "deluxe edition" is more convenient for some people, but I myself just do not get the point. Ah well, anything to make an extra buck on EA's part.

However, The Sims 2 is probably the greatest game I've ever played, and the Nightlife expansion is enjoyable enough. My advice is buy this Deluxe Edition only if you're new to TS2, and haven't yet bought the base game individually.

5 stars for the game itself, not this Deluxe Edition.

When I discovered this game a few months ago while looking for something else. When I downloaded the game, it didn't have all of the features as the boxed version. So, please don't buy any downloaded version of the Sims because you WILL get ripped off. You might say that EA/Maxis (by giving you a downloadable version) have given (Simmers and future Simmers)) a teaser. Because, when your system (for any reason) goes down and you have to reformat the drive, you have to re-download your game (which takes a very long time). So, BUY THE BOXED VERSION. When I started paying the game, I was taken back by its vivid details and overall game play. Any avid Sim player know just how addictive this type of game is. Unfortuately, the game is truly adictive and it is ture that it in itself is a soap opera/sit com. I like the idea of making Sims and building their homes and decorating the lots. You can learn something from a game like this and depending upon your outlook on life you can learn many good things as well as bad things too. I do like the ability to control the Sims but I wish they didn't come out with cheats for the game because by doing so, you take the fun out of playing the game honestly. I still rate the game very high.

Great Game!!!!

I was never really into video games that much until I got Sims 2. Now I am addicted to it. I love this game. I love that you can create your own houses and design your own Sims. I never heard of this "Sims" game before my best friend bought it for me and now we have daily conversations about what our Sims are doing. The creators of this game are brillant. I go home from work and play this game for hours. Some of the Stuff packs are stupid especially "celebrations" because you can only invite 2 guests over and they don't really give give you a lot of things but the Nightlife is a must have expansion pack but I wish they had more cars to choose from. I recently ordered other expansion packs and I am waiting for them to arrive. But overall I would highly recommend this game to anyone (over 10 yrs of age--because of the woohoo that might be offensive to some parents), but this game is definitely a must have. I tried looking for other PC games that had as high of a rating as Sims but couldn't find one. Happy Simming.

I'm a newbie in the Sims World and I must say this game got my complete attention for a while. I got so addicted to it I couldn't stop playin. I have stopped playin it for a bit now because I found it stressed me out a lot having to take care of both needs and wants of multiple sims. The nightlife expansion is very very fun, it has a lot of different places to visit like shopping, dining, parks, places to take your potential date, clubs and many more great places to take your sims. Overall the game is pretty good.
