Almost incredible

Another Disney game, another game tie-in. This one is based on the extremely recent Pixar film, The Incredibles. A lot of movie tie-in games range from surprisingly good(EA's Lord of the Rings) to bad(pretty much everyone else). This one falls somewhere in the middle.

Story: The 2 adult Incredible family members where crime fighters until people sued them for the damages when they were saving the city. Now, living boring jobs with 3 children, Mr. Incredible(Bob) wants to relive his old glory and accepts a mission only to end up needing rescuing by his family.

Graphics: They fit the movie's look perfectly. And the special powers are done well. Frozone(basically a Silver Surfer) looks strange and the scenes taken from the film look oddly dark.

Sound: As usual, there's in-game dialogue that gets repeated over and over. The music though fits the levels perfectly.

Gameplay: Playing as the 4 Incredible family members, each has a particular type of stage. Mr. Incredible is a basic beat-em-up platform with super strength. Mrs. Incredible with her elastic body usually does puzzle missions. And the 2 annoying stages of Dash and Violet. Because of Dash's speed, he does high speed obstacles courses. It'd be great if the camera would actually show you where to go because one hit against something and you have to start over at last checkpoint. Violet's are stealth missions but get annoying when you keep getting caught.

Overall, it's a pretty good rental although surprisingly there's a couple of really frustrating missions that the kiddies may want to have their older brother beat.

I love this game. My daughter and I are big Ratchet and Clank fans and look for games with similiar play. We found that in the Incredibles game. It's exciting and challenging. As we get playing it , I wonder if it is too easy at times, but then I get to a spot that I can't accomplish until I do it 10 times. My favorite thing about the game is , after conquering the first level as Mr. Incredible, you then get to be Mrs. Incredible, Dash, Violet, etc. Great fun.

This is one of the year's best games. Since it has been taken from a movie, it will probably be easy to understand the plot. It's a classic super hero game. You can play any one of the chracters from the Incredible family. There are many cool scenes, and the graphics are pretty good. Fight bad guys and conquer villains. Relive the glory days on your TV with the Incredibles!!

First off, I cannot believe how mad this game has made me. I like all kinds of games, but honestly trying to figure out some of the levels in this game left me stumped. It's one thing to be stuck somewhere and have to retry a lot, but several times during this game I was stuck in an area and had no idea where to do/what to do, etc... even after I killed all the bad guys I didn't know how to get out of the room. This game is not intuitive (sp?) at all!

Secondly, this game should not be called the Incredibles, it should be called Mr. Incredible, because you play as him almost all the time. Playing as Elasta-Girl is great, I really enjoyed that part, but when there are a lot of baddies with guns, Mr. Incredible is a pain since he has no way to block anything, so you spend a lot of time getting pushed back until the bad guys reload.

I liked the first mission as Dash (when you play as Dash, which is only twice) you have to run fast; however the second mission I just lost my patience because I had to restart about a million times because I couldn't see what was ahead of me.

Playing a Violet was bad, they should have done a lot more with her instead of a boring stealth mission. The Incredi-ball mission Incredibi-sucked, it took me like an hour to hit something because it was in a difficult place.

I'm just finishing up the game now and quite frankly I haven;'t enjoyed a lot of it, which is a shame because I really loved the movie. Some of the levels are too hard because you can barely find the way to do something and Mr. Incredible needs to do more than punch people. Currently I'm on the Rocket Silo level and I keep falling down trying to get onto a platform. What a load of fun that is to do 100 times or more.

Bottom line: Playing as Elasta-girl was fun, everything else was either blah, or made me want to swear a lot. Hopefully the second game will be better. I'll be renting that instead of buying, this game left me disappointed overall.

The Incredibles is one of the best games I've ever played (and trust me, I've got a lot of them!).With all four characters from the movie; Dash, with his super speed: Violet with her incredible invisability: Elasticgirl, with her amazing stretching power and Mr.Incredible with his super strength. All four characters make this game incredible. The game is based on the movie and follows the plot line very well but at the same time taking you into it's own world of the incredibles. The graphics are very good. You can get stuck but you can always manage to do it in the end because it's not too hard, but at the same time it's not too easy.It also shows you funny clips from the movie to keep you on the plot. There are also bonus features like battle mode, the making of the game, pictures and of course movie trailers.I highly recommend you should buy this game (especially if you are a movie fan) because all-in-all the game is, Truely Incredible!!!

...Another great movie, another terrible game. Let me say first off that I was a fan of the movie. I loved the unique sense of humor and beautiful animation of the movie. I tried renting this game expecting the same high-flying, crazy action of the movie. No such luck, my friends. To be frank, this game sucks. Sure, the graphics capture the feeling of the movie rather well, but other than that i felt no connection at all. Heck, the cutscenes don't even integrate that well.

As you may guess, you play as all four of the Parrs, Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, and Violet.

Mr. Incredible's missions consist of running mindlessly around extremely repititious evironments, punching guys in the face, punching robots, barreling into guys, and jumping through extremely poorly designed platforming sessions.

Elastigirl's missions are basically the same. Sure, she can grab guys and toss them, roll into a ball and barrel through them, and has a few flashy moves, but this is marred by terrible controls, scorching repitition and overall horrendous camera work.

Dash...ah yes, Dash. Let's see, what can I say here? Well, you run. That's basically it. You run on a time limit through a linear path, occasionally falling, jumping, and avoiding. You will restart about twenty times each, seeing as how these missions require you to memorize the exact technique the whole way. Other than that, you can run faster by boosting which usually gets you killed even more often.

And Violet...sigh...has stealth missions. Yup, just run through an environment of intensely stupid enemies by becoming invisible and occasionally creating force fields when you are caught. Solid Snake, she is not. Sam Fisher, she is not. Hell, Snake Pliskin she is not. She is a good goth girl trapped in a crap-covered game.

So yeah, this game is not good. This game is somewhat hard, if you consider avid memorization to be hard. Is this game a piece of crap? Oh god yes. There is no reason to rent this game, no reason to buy this game, no reason to say anything more about this game.

Need I say it?

This game took my 9 year old son 2 days to complete. It was a disappointment since I paid $30 for it,but the action adventure games make younger kids to make wiser decisions. Overall this game deserves an A+. Not an adult type game but fun for kids.

Awesome video games but a little strange things

Story: A family of super heroes battle against a weird bad guy named Syndrome

Characters: Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash. Unplayable characters: Jack-Jack, Frozone, Syndrome, Mirage.

Graphics: OK, but I really don't like the Apartment Inferno level because alot of the scenes (most of them) are dark and you can't see a thing.

Levels: (in order) Bank Heist, Skyline Strech, Buddy Pine and Bomb Voyage, Apartment Inferno, Late for School, Beach Landing, Nomanisian Island, Lava level with Omnidroid, Robot Arena, Great Falls, Syndrome's Base, Finding Mr. Incredible, 100 Mile Dash, Violet's Crossing, Secret Lava Falls, Rocket Silo, Save the World.

Overall: A great game. I would buy it if I were you.

It should be called The Impossible!!

I thought the game was fun in some areas, but REALLY HARD to play in other areas. Whats with that huge Ball??? It's so hard to beat, it just wasn't fun to play!! IT gets so frustrating and why would they make some areas Impossible to play! I was very disappointed in it. I sure wouldn't call it Incredibles, I would call it The Impossible!! I dont think it's worth the money.

There is no way this game is getting 5's from people on this site. Ask yourself has there EVER been a good Pixar game in the history of video games? There are tons of good quality choices for kids out there. I would pass unless you are a die hard fan of the movie.
