Awesome music production game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 3

I bought this game a couple of days ago, the version that includes the microphone and sampler, and I have to say it's been one of the best purchases I've done. I also bought MTV: Music Generator 3 but I didn't like it as much. This game is more complicated because it has a LOT of options, MTV: MG3 is more simple and user friendly but you'll grow tired of it. Digital Hitz Factory lets you choose from a large library of sounds from drums to riffs, and if you want to make your own sounds you can do it too. From piano sounds to electric and acoustic guitar, from DJ sound effects to animal noises. This game lets you create YOUR OWN music. A lot of games are focused on hip hop and/or techno but this game allows you to create rock, indie, hip hop, etc. The game has so much options that you'll have to take the tutorials a couple of times first, but once you get the hang of it you won't be sorry you bought it. As for the microphone and sampler I'm not really sure how to use them yet, so I wont be covering them in this review. This game also let you create videos for your songs, they are small samples of images and videos that you can put together and there are plenty (not a lot like the the sound samples)to choose from, you can also edit the videos and mix images. If you'll like a video for your song but you don't want to create one, the game can auto-generate a video for your song. Then you can play your song with your video on full sceen.
For a creative person like me this is much more than a game, this is a music and video production studio. With thousands of samples and the option to create my own, I think I will be creating music for a long time.

Pros:
1)different music types to choose from (Hip hop, Rock, etc)
2)A lot of sound samples plus create your own from different instruments
3)video creation and editing

Cons:
1)complicated at first, but the tutorials help you get started...
2)...but the rest you'll have to learn for yourself

I have to leave now for I have a great rock/hip hop song I'm creating. I'll like to thank the wonderful folks behind this awesome game and Amazon.com for letting me exppress myself.

Don't buy this version unless you have a usb sampler!

This game is the okay but you can't bring in your voice or other music without a usb sampler. And you get real tired of the voices/lyrics that are on here fast. I have a usb microphone but not the usb sampler. I thought that's all you needed, but no i came to find out i needed a usb sampler. I've looked everywhere for one. I can't even find one on amazon or ebay. So unless you're happy playing with the few lyrics on the game don't buy this, buy the other version with the microphone. I think that version comes with a sampler too but i'm not sure. So you should check that out. Otherwise it's a pretty fun game. This is my first time experimenting with making music and i had it down by the next day. It does take a while to get the flow of it. You should do the tutorials a couple of times each and you'll probably have to refer back to them while making your songs. The graphics aren't that great and the words are kind of small. If you wear glasses you'll definately need them, maybe even if you don't.
