NnyCW for Capcom City

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis adds a nice touch to the Resident Evil formula. Not only do you have to deal with oncoming hordes of zombies, but now you have another worry...being chased by a Nemesis that will come after you no matter what you do to try and stop it. The addition of Nemesis made this game one of the most enjoyable, and my favorite of the Resident Evil\'s. The addition to now be able to walk up stairs without pressing a button really did help way back when, though wondering how that was ever not a feature in the games is a bit of a puzzlement. And on the subject of puzzles, the only flaw this game has is the \"water puzzle\" near the end of the game. Only because it is totally random. Meaning you can get lucky and solve it in 20 seconds, or it could take about 30 minutes to beat. But other than that, this is a great game that any Resident Evil fan should have in their collection. NnyCW for CapCity.

I thought this is a very good game. One of the best resident evils and a must if you like horror and own a dreamcast.

A more action oriented game in the Resident Evil series

Before the Dreamcast kicked the bucket, Capcom decided to release conversions of they're super smash hits Resident Evil 2 and 3 to the DC. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis may be at the top of the list of the best RE games and for good reason: the Nemesis. You play as Jill Valentine running and gunning your way through zombie infested Raccoon City (approx. 24 hours before the events in Resident Evil 2) while at the same dodging past the relentless Nemesis which is one of the most nightmarish and invincible opponents in video game history. Everything that made the original PS1 version so great is all retained here, but that is also a flaw considering the graphic horsepower of the Dreamcast is non-existant. So while you do get faster loading times and some cleaned up character models, this looks exactly like it's PS1 cousin. Also the controls are a little slippery as well, especially with the joystick. A few extras are included: you can select a costume for Jill right from the beginning of the game and you can play Mercenary Mode right from the start as well. All in all, if you missed it on the PS1 and own a Dreamcast, give this a try.

Great fun

A lot of people seem to dislike this game 'cause it "isn't a true sequel to 2". So what? It is easily the best in the series, yes it's even better than Code Veronica. The graphics are awesome, as is the story. My favorite part would have to be having ammo. I hated the lack of action in the other games. Here, you can just blow things away. Lots of fun.

Unlike The First 2 Resident Evils. The Game dosent let you starve for weapons. Youre always provided with amination, to kill the foes around you, that are attacking you. but you will be doing alot of running when being chased by the nemesis. Dont bother trying to fight him before the showdowns, because you will loose. This is the best game Ive ever played. Its hard but its great. Its scary, its like you are actally playing and watching one of George Romereo's Dario agento's zombie horror movies. You see all differnt type of character zombies in that game. I like that one character in that game, The blond headed female zombie wearing the spandex gym tights. You dont see the same ones over and over again like the first 2 Resident Evils. but Resident Evil part 1 had 1 thing what the other 2 Resident Evils didnt have. You notice on Resident Evil part 1, you are in the mansion with bunch of live undead zombies who were one time scientist research workers before they died. The zombies you see that game are all different kinds of races. you come accross white zombies black zombies. you dont see that in resident 2 and 3. Also you are in the mansion, The has images of bathrooms you walk in, and mirrors in those bathrooms, you can actally see your Characters reflection in the mirror. you dont get that in the police station on Resident Evil 2 or the restaurants in Resident Evil 3. If you are a horror movie fan, you will enjoy those games.

What is so great about RE3: Nemesis?

The Resident Evil series has a brilliant concept: zombie movie video games, because we all know a movie is fake, but a video game is in fact real. A zombie movie is all about showing people what would happen to society that has been over taken by walking dead people eating the brains of people who are alive. Out of all the Resident Evil series, including Code: Veronica, Nemesis has this certain quality which all the other ones lack. In the beginning of Resident Evil 2, you start off in the demolished Raccoon City and right away you get this feeling of a huge city completely destroyed by the un-dead, which right away offers major exploration. However, the game then makes you go off to this very unrealistic police station instead. Capcom knew that they should have spent more time in the city, because, well it is a lot more exciting and visually spectacular. RE3:Nemisis is all about escaping from that city, and it is basically an entire game played throughout the demolished city of Raccoon, which is absolutely breath taking. There are a lot more zombies to kill, not to mention that there are actually a variety of different looking zombies. More surprise attacks that shock your entire nervous system and a lot more cinemas as well. The game has been graphically enhanced by Dreamcast: now the cinemas look even better than Code: Veronica's. Dreamcast added a battle mode for RE3 which totally blows away Code: Veronica's and you do not have to beat the game to play it. The only thing about RE3 on DC is that the character models have not been graphically enhanced, in fact, they are direct cut outs from the PS1 version. I dont really have a problem with it, its just that RE2 got the full graphic production, with new character models. Anyway, my point is that all the other Resident Evils take place in some creepy mansion with brain busting puzzles which is not even apart of any zombie movie. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is the only game of the series that actually makes the most sense, in a creepy, decimated way. It has the most replay value out of the whole series too. The problem with Code: Veronica is that there is not enough action, suspense, surprises, weapons, and not even enough blood, guts, and gore. Code: Veronica has the most gorgeous incredible graphics I have ever seen, but it still uses the same animations of RE2 and RE3! Even the same puzzles! I love the entire series, and if you think that this game is the weakest, you are soo wrong! Long live RE3:Nemisis!!

Well, its true. Although not the best, Nemesis manages to be the most original of the RE games {minus Code Veronica}. First, the plot is a bit confusing. The first half takes place before Resident Evil 2, the the second half after. Jill Valentine, S.T.A.R.S member from RE, was about to leave for Europe to find Chris Redfield, yet another member of S.T.A.R.S. Unfortunatley, the T- Virus broke out again. If thats not enough, a huge G/T- Virus monster named Nemesis is sent out to kill all S.T.A.R.S members. The graphics are very good, even better than those in RE 2, and the sound fits the game perfectly. Third, the setting is great. Instead of everything happening in a single mansion {RE} or a police station {RE 2}, you must explore an entire zombie infested city. Fourth, Nemesis is cool. He is damn near indestructable, and has many forms, so the fights {9 in total, not counting the final fight} don't get redundant. Plus, he is scary, AND can say S.T.A.R.S. The weapons are all the same, except now you create your own ammunition. So, to put it bluntly, GET THIS GAME!
