If you buy this you can expect hours of pure frustration. Just when you get into this game along comes Nemesis and kills you! My favorite of the series is RE2. Yes you have to fight a Nemesis-like guy, but only about 4 times. This guy will come at you every 2 seconds and ruin any type of fun you may have thought you could have.

RE3 is a pretty decent game but if you didn't have Nemesis chaseing you it would be alot better.it's nice that you can be Jill and not some one else. But some of the weapons do ... like the knife and pistoland some weapons are sweet like the magnum or the shotgun. And haveing the hunter's in this one was a great idea they should have been in RE2 as well.

Great Game

Every Resident Evil game is good but i think that this one is one of the best. Resident Evil 3 i think is the hardest out of the lot but that made the game all the more interesting, as i felt that the other two were a walk through. The graphics on the game are amazing and the game play is excellent. Out of the three that are availble on the dreamcast i would buy in this order: Code Veronica, Resident Evil Nemesis and then Resident Evil 2. This aside all of the Resident Evil games are worth having as the puzzles will keep you at it for along time.

Woo-hoo! Capcom ported over both Resident Evil 2 and 3 for the DC! Err, sorry there... Anyway, the third installment to the zombie-fest series is easily the most action packed--thus making it one of the best. The story, however, is just lacking--Jill Valentine must escape from Raccoon City. That's it. Obviously, Capcom was looking for a quick buck. It turns out though, that this quick buck rocks. It's still the same thing it's always been--shoot, solve dumb puzzles, get scared, repeat--but it proves to still hold up even though it's showing its age by now. The only real difference between this and any other RE game is Nemesis--a big ugly freak in a long trench coat looking to take out all existing S.T.A.R.S. members--and in case you missed out on the first RE, Jill, the coolest character in the RE series, just so happens to be a S.T.A.R.S. member. Nemesis will show up when you least expect it (like the Tyrant from RE2) and scare you silly--you're also faced with certain decisions when fighting him called Live Selection, which will structure your course. This makes for replayability, which is what I always felt the RE series lacked. Another new, but small, aspect is the ability to now make your own ammo--unfortunately, it's more of a waste of time than anything (just give me the ammo!). Other than that, it's the same RE you've been playing for years now--which is its only problem, I felt a case of "been there, shot that" throughout Jill's journey. The sound is still fundamental to the game, the voice actors are still poor (though getting better), the music still pales to the first RE, the control is even worse than the PSX version (the DC control design is to blame for that, not Capcom), but you cannot go wrong picking this game up--especially for the price it's going for. If you didn't pick up the PSX versions of RE 2 and 3, make sure you pick them up now--as in right now. Hurry!

A more action oriented game in the Resident Evil series

Before the Dreamcast kicked the bucket, Capcom decided to release conversions of they're super smash hits Resident Evil 2 and 3 to the DC. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis may be at the top of the list of the best RE games and for good reason: the Nemesis. You play as Jill Valentine running and gunning your way through zombie infested Raccoon City (approx. 24 hours before the events in Resident Evil 2) while at the same dodging past the relentless Nemesis which is one of the most nightmarish and invincible opponents in video game history. Everything that made the original PS1 version so great is all retained here, but that is also a flaw considering the graphic horsepower of the Dreamcast is non-existant. So while you do get faster loading times and some cleaned up character models, this looks exactly like it's PS1 cousin. Also the controls are a little slippery as well, especially with the joystick. A few extras are included: you can select a costume for Jill right from the beginning of the game and you can play Mercenary Mode right from the start as well. All in all, if you missed it on the PS1 and own a Dreamcast, give this a try.

it excellent

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis adds a nice touch to the Resident Evil formula. Not only do you have to deal with oncoming hordes of zombies, but now you have another worry...being chased by a Nemesis that will come after you no matter what you do to try and stop it. The addition of Nemesis made this game one of the most enjoyable, and my favorite of the Resident Evil\'s. The addition to now be able to walk up stairs without pressing a button really did help way back when, though wondering how that was ever not a feature in the games is a bit of a puzzlement. And on the subject of puzzles, the only flaw this game has is the \"water puzzle\" near the end of the game. Only because it is totally random. Meaning you can get lucky and solve it in 20 seconds, or it could take about 30 minutes to beat. But other than that, this is a great game that any Resident Evil fan should have in their collection. NnyCW for CapCity.

RE3 is the best so far. The graphics are unbelievable, and the action is never-ending. The story line is pretty good as well, and the quantity of guns is not comparable to any other game out there. If you want a great action and horror game, this is the one to buy.

This game is one of the best games ever made. I still think Capcom should bring THE BEST Resident Evil made out on DC. That is the original. The first RE had the freakiest music, the coolest story, and it had the mansion that made you crap your pants. I remember playing it for the first time. I had really bad nightmares that night. RE3 is awsome, but would Capcom PLEASE release RE1 for DC?
