I had reasonably high hopes for this one, and read the reviews expecting some studdering/pixelized graphics before buying, but thought the "fast paced" gameplay would make up for it.

I was wrong. I was bored with this game after a couple of hours. The graphics are mediocre at best and the gameplay is SO boring.

You better rent this one first before blowing 50 bucks.

I am not really into NASCAR on playstation. I ususally like them on the computer because they are more realistic.

I though think that if you have played any nascar game on PS one and at least thought it was ok you will love this one. For me i think that this is the best NASCAR game for playstation as it should be being on PS2 but the game didn't really do it for me.

They have about 35 drivers but only 20 can actually race and the only thing you can change on the car is air pressure, shocks, and weight.

I would rather play this on computer but, if like I said this is by far the best playstation NASCAR game yet.

Fun if you like race car games

I the bought the game the day it come out. It is a good game if you know how to play it. At first it was hard, but after many hours in the setup menu, it become fun. I am still learning on how to use it. The cars are good and the tracks are real fun. Buy it if you like race car games. You will like this, it will keep you on your edge.

This IS Nascar! What more needs to be said. The graphics are excellent. Much better than the previous versions of this game. If you only buy 1 playstation 2 game this year, make it this one!!!

One sentence describes this game: if you are a fan of racing games, Nascar, or just like games period, this game makes an excelent addition to your game library!

This is the worst racing game I have ever played.

1. The season is very long and you can't improve your car as you go through.

2. Every track is pretty much the same. Sure, one is a little longer than the other, or it's oval is a little sharper, but there really isn't much of a difference.

3. The graphics are horrendous; it looks like this game could work on a regular playstation.

4. All the cars are the same, except for little differences in looks. There are only 3 different car types: loose (great speed, no handling), Neutral (average speed and handling), and tight (no speed and great handling). These do not change from car to car.

The only good thing about the game is the drafting system: you actually use your opponents draft to gain speed and pass them.

Do not buy this game. It is a complete waste of both time and money

That's Racin?

I love auto racing. Whether Formula One, Indy Car, NASCAR, Rally, or just about anything on Four wheels. Having said that, I would have bought NASCAR 2001 regardless. The Yellow Flags are too long. Four laps? That is way too much. You may wish to consider letting the Gamer select the length of the yellow flag periods. The graphics on this game are gorgeoue. That is until you get a lot going on or turn on the rear view mirror. Then you get the bad interlacing and frame rate drop seen by the other reviewers. I hope you folks at EA Get that figured out. It really detracts from the game. For a comparison, I would recommend you look at NASCAR HEAT 2002. They don't have that problem. The actual physics settings for the cars and their drivability seem about right. Makes the game more challenging. I like that. Also, would you please include all of the track. I miss Pocono, New Hampshire, and some of the others you have left out. Its great to finally have Daytona! One last thing EA, you need to add more cars on the track at one time. If I remember correctly, NASCAR '98 had 24 cars on the track at one time. Comon, that will make the racing ever more interesting. I know EA has it in them. Madden 2001 shows that ability. Refine, and make it happen EA. You can do it!!

Same of this, less of that!

I found that this is the same game as for the PS1, with a little better graphics than the first. They have also reduced the amount of control you have when setting up the car as well during pit-stops. Over all this game is not worth the disc it is burned on! My opinion, worse that a flat tire going into turn 1 at 200 miles per hour!!
