Eh this game is alright. When I first bought it I liked it alot. But over time playing it it really aint that great. One thing that really really was horrible was that you couldnt save the game. So you had to get lives, then play from the beggining each time to see how far that you could get. Which in that case, I never beat the game. I got to the house or so, I dont remember that good, but thats it. I never beat the game. Even in 2 player mode. The game was alright graphics, not bad. Sound is alright. Gameplay is cool at times. Recommended? Maybe, but not worth that much money at all. Its got its pro's but also has a lot of cons in it. Its frustrating at times also.

Fun but sometimes frustrating

I got this game last year but I did not have a Dreamcast. Now that I finally got one I got to say this game is pretty good. But it is very hard.I can usually beat a game within 2weeks but this one is different.I got to the last level and got killed 3 times.I was a little frustrated because all my credits were gone and I could not finish.I like the game play and it has pretty good graphics for DC.I will finish this game sometime when I have the energy to deal with the frustration.

I found this game in the arcade, I played it with all the money I had. Almost got to the last level, so i came back with my brother and brought enough money to guarentee our victory.

I was stoked when I found out that it was available on DC, I didn't have a dreamcast but I was impressed with a few of the other titles on DC, so I threw down a hundred bucks and got myself a brand new DC, with controller and Memory card. I got this game as well as a few others.

Ok, now to the point. This was a waste of money, the game is impossible to beat, you have 15 lives and no saves. Maybe I am just not any good, but why do they have all the VMU games but you can't actually SAVE your game... and so I got a partner to play, but no, now you just share the 15 lives between the both of you.

This is a fun game, nice weapons, animations, controls, and all that, but its just too repetive, their is virtually no replay value, the 2 player vs. is not even worth trying. The items and enemies are in the same place everytime and there is no randomization of gameplay. Not what you want from a mindless zombie fighting game.

The story makes almost no sense, something about mutants and a computer disk, a mysterious woman hiding in a garage, a gold eye, 3 face cards, a train speeding out of control, a laser, and 3 main characters who... well who knows...

This game has blocky ... graphics. A stupid story. But the gameplay is (kinda) fun. The wepons were good(I like the drill and flame thrower). This game would not be on the top of my wish list/

I bought the game because from the description I thought it was a gun game. It does let you use the Mad Catz gun but it makes no difference where you shoot, you might as well use a regular controller. It is NOT a gun game. It is an OK fighter in that mode, unfortunately in the arcade mode it is difficult to control and you get to the first boss level almost immediately. I recommend House Of The Dead 2, Confidential Mission, and Virtua Cop 2 instead of this title if you are looking for a shooter. Although I must say for the price it is still worth playing with if you are just looking for a Dreamcast game.
From the description I believed it was a true gun game but it is not so I was disappointed.

A gaming high while it lasts!

When I popped in Zombie Revenge, I turned out the lights and turned up the surround sound, and got prepared for a ride on the scary bus. This game has awesome graphics, and it turns out my inhibitions were correct, this game is scary. Think Resident Evil with better lighting, yeah. But the pace is much faster and it is a lot more fun. But every time I play, I get to a point that is impossible to beat. You will love this game, but you will die on any more than the very easy level setting.

There are good zombie games and there are bad zombie games and i hate to say this but this game has to go under bad zombie games. The gameplay itself is fun but when was it invented that zombies could shoot machine guns? Also the plot is not so good who wants to chase after a young man who does not want to show his face to until the very end.My last gripe about this game is the graphics are aful for a system that is supposed to have very good graphics. The reason i even rated this two stars is one it gets a star for booting up and two for having some creativity but not much creativity at all though do not get me wrong.

This game is just awesome anyone that says less isn't a true gamer cause this game is a must buy. The best thing about it is that you can download mini-games onto your VMU and train your charactor to eventually earn codes, I also like the new features like Gun mode and the training mode. This game is deffinetly an improvement on the arcade version. The controls are easy to remember, the graphics just rock, the sound effects and music are good, and the gameplay is just SWEET, who can resist mowing down zombies with a machine gun. At such a low price, you must order it.

Zombie Punching is Fun

Zombie Revenge got slaughtered in many reviews by games websites and magazines, but I think it's a game worth getting...although it is often very frustrating to play. Basically, you play as one of three characters, and your job is to fight your way through various levels filled with zombies and monsters, in what I think can be descibed as a 3-D scrolling beat 'em up. Each section is short but packed with enemies - there's no time to admire the scenery, you must simply destroy everything onscreen with either your fists or with long range firepower, and then move on to the next one before a timer runs out. This sounds repetitive, but in reality, it's not as bad as it might sound. Firstly, as in most Dreamcast games, the graphics are amazing. All the characters look great and move realistically. Every location is incredibly detailed and atmospheric, and some of the bosses are the most bizarre monsters you have ever seen...check out the Slime boss! Secondly, there are lots of moves for your characters to pull off, and many different weapons lying around that can be used. OK, so some fans of beat 'em up games will find the moves repertoire a little short, but using the flamethrower or the giant drill on a Zombie is a real show-stopping effect - show your friends!

The game is also REALLY difficult...or is that just me? I found myself using up all my continues many times before reaching the end, until practise and perseverance paid off. Most of the difficulty comes from the rather poor implementation of the various moves, most notably the fact that "guard" and "dash" are assigned to the same button, which is a real pain when you need to make lightning fast decisions to escape from dangerous enemies. Another example is that both the attack buttons also serve as the "pick up an item off the floor" buttons when you are standing near a dropped weapon (which may be a one you don't want), and I often found my poor character doing this when I actually intended them to fire their gun at a zombie who was right on top of them - this proved to be the death of me several playthroughs, but it's unavoidable and excruciatingly annoying. The response time of the characters reactions on screen to your button pounding is also far too slow, but to be honest, these drawbacks do not ruin the game completely, rather they require that you play with more care and observe carefully what is happening onscreen at all times - so get a large television for this one and play cautiously rather than rashly! You'll seldom find the on-screen timer a problem after a bit of experience.

You can't save your progress at any time, you either make it through or die trying - but to be fair, this would complertely remove the challenge. You can save after beating the game, though, and apart from the sheer relief, it's worth beating the game so that you can change the blood colour to red (now watch that drill in action again - yeucchh!), and for frustrated battlers, you can also select infinite time and level select in Original mode. Although all subsequent replays will be essentially the same game, you will want to experiment with different characters and the effectivity of different combo moves, or deciding which weapons to use and when. There are hidden rooms and secret items that you may not find on your first attempts. Plus, you can learn the way the enemies attack, some of them wander about picking up weapons to use against you, if you don't get there first! It's these little touches that make this game so much fun to play. I rented it first, and then bought it, and am still playing it now.
