This is the best out of the 15 games that I have. I like the action in the battle scenes. All the charactors are just awsome!! Tanks, aircraft, infintry, bazookamen, missle launchers and boats. Plus a wide veriaty of those. The soundFX are good and the graphics and gameplay are great!! Believe me,this is an awsome game. It is better than any other RPG game out there for the GBA. If you're looking for a great and addicting game get Advance Wars II!!

You people are too happy!

Look, everone's saying that this game is so cool because it has lots of RTS and RPG options, combined. This is so, but it isn't all that uncommon. Fire Emblem, (GBA) just one of many games of this general type, is pretty much the same thing, except you can't build/train units. I havn't actually played this game yet, but I've done a LOT of resirch on this game. I've read most of the reviews (half of which were a load of poo!) and they, quite frankly, scare me. This appears to be an exilent game though.

P.S. I only rated the game because I have to and the rating is based upon the (many) reviews that I have read.

Advance wars + extras = great game

I got the origional AW game 2 years ago and I was impressed at the complexity of the game. I thought it would be just another shoot em up game but I was wrong. Now the sequal has come along with new CO's (Colin, Sensai) as well as new terrain features, the unstopable neotank and Black Hole henchmen. This game deserves the five stars I give as much as possible. I would recommend this game and it's predecessor to to any seasoned gamer or beginer. Enjoy!

I got this game about a week or so ago and I can't put it down. Being a fan of Advance Wars 1, I had to get it. It offers so much more than the first game, with the ability to customise CO.s, 4 campaigns to complete and more units and objects. This, I would say it is the best game boy game i've ever played!

Ive owned this game for over a year now, and i still havent finished it. There is so much to do in this game. You start the game with a campaign mode that alone takes a while to beat, then, after youve cleared it, there is a hard campaign. Aside from that, there is all the maps in the war room, and the option to create your own maps. The gameplay is really addictive, you wont be able to put it down. The game is also suprisingly a real challenge. Buy this game now, you wont regret it.

Worth $40 if you love strategy and tactics

The cartoon style appeals to me very much, it is absolutely gorgeous and you can save everything, anytime, and you can customize a lot.
I played about 10 maps, and played the campaign about 70% until it became too hard for me. The maps are very well thought of, and most have some "spark of genius" inside them that you need to discover in order to win the battle.
The game is IDEAL if you go by train to work, shoot a few units down and there you are!

Best turn-based strategy game i've ever player

This game was the reason i got the GameBoy Micro. I couldn't find it in Australian stores, so i bought it online. Its deceptively simple game play, based on buying munitions (from soldiers through to war planes) and attempting to defeat the enemy under in various way under various circumstances, allows for a surprising amount of engaging variation.

simply a brilliant game.
