Great Game! A kid's review (with Mom's permission)

This is a fun game! You should buy it! I play it all the time! You can choose to be a boy or a girl, and you can also choose what kind of dog you want. You can play with your dog and feed your dog. If you get far enough, you can take walks with your dog & you can go to the menu screen and play "always together" mode, which is a completed slot on my game. Mine did not come with instructions because I bought it used, but I still managed to figure out what the game was about & how to play & how to get my dog to stop pooping in it's bed! I just turned 9 & have been playing video games since I was 6. I'm not a hardcore gamer-I don't like violent games. But I love Nintendo gameboy, DS, and Gamecube (and some playstation games), because they have fun games for kids my age and adults, too. I gave this game 5 stars because it was so much fun, easy to figure out, and didn't frustrate me. If you love Nintendogs for the DS, you'll love this one too.

This is a great game for teaching a young child about responsibility before getting a real pet. My son had loads of fun with it.

Not for sensitive kids

I would not recommend this game for very young children or kids with a sensitive heart unless you prepare them before they start the game. Our seven year old daughter was crushed when her dog "went away". After many tears and a web search I learned about the forever mode but unfortunately she had not saved the game so she couldn't go back and play with her puppy friend. I was able to recreate the same kind of dog with the same name and she was off and happy again, but this came after a very sad little girl. Make sure your child knows they get to play with their puppy for three weeks and then can change dogs or can save their game to play in forever mode.

I bought this for my daughter. She played with it for a few days, but has lost interest in it.
The most annoying thing is the text that keeps popping up all the time telling you what to do.
This is a dull game from what I can make of it.

My Mom said she might get the game for me. About the "dog dies thing", well I want to know if you can buy/get another dog to replace.Please post something to let me know!!!

This game is Great! Yeah you're dog dies after 3 weeks, but if you take good care of it you can keep it in always together mode. One thing I don't like is in Always Together Mode you can't take walks, but you have EVERYTHING!! This is a great game. Don't listen to the others, if you like virtual pets, get this game!!!!!!!!

Before buying this game i read all of the reviews and i noticed that most of them say that the dog "dies" well in truth it really doesn't die. it is taken away from you and then the game asks you if you want to save it and if you say yes then it saves it fopr you. after you save it you can go back and play with it any time you want. it does this so that after a certain amount of time if you don't like the dog you have you can switch and get a new dog and not feel obligated to stay with your one. sodon't listen to those reviews that say your dog "dies". after your dog is taken away just go to the main menu and switch it to forever together mode with your dog.
so if you took my advice buy it for your kids and tell them your dog will be taken away but you get him/her back.

I love this game! My friend let me borrow it for a day and it was so fun! Evewryone has to get it! But the part I don't like is that after three weeks your little doggie dies. That's so sad! So after that I wasnted to get it but it wasn't at walmart so I got CATS and I hate that one! You can't even see your pet! I want to return it and get a new game! So I want to get DOGS now.

I have this game. I got it for Christmas. I play it all the time. The game asks you 3 questions and they give you a selection of dogs based on the questions you answered. You find the perfect dog!!! I have not stopped playing it. It is not boring at all. You get to walk your dog, brush him/her,feed them,give them water. The only thing that I do not like about this game is that you can only buy one thing a day. Otherwise it is an AWSOME toatally FUN game to play!!!!!!!!!!
