Donkey Kong Country RULES! It's so fun. The graphics are almost like the graphics on the front of the box, although they're not as brightly colored as in the commercials on TV. The music is the same music from 1994's Donkey Kong Land, but they are MUCH much better sounding. The sea levels look SOOOOO much better. There are animals you can ride too, such as a flying ostrich, an oversized frog and more! A lot of levels are really hard, but with enough time and practice you'll get though it.

Donkey Kong Country rocks. Buy it today!

I really wasn't planning on ever playing Donkey Kong Country, but it came with the GameBoy SP that I bought so I thought I'd give it a try. The game is ok and there are some difficult levels, but on the whole it was pretty easy as it only took me 2 days to beat. Bonuses within the stages are extremely easy, and it won't take you more than 10 mins to get yourself 99 lives so you won't ever game-over. The mini games are fun though, you can either fish or play DDR; I think those kept me more entertained than the actual game. Even if you're a moderate gamer this game can't last more than a week, not worth the money in my opinion.

Really great game

Nintendo has recently started to make it a habit for all of their video games from the Super Nintendo era in the early to mid 90's, be reissued for the Game Boy Advance, and its similar systems, Game Boy Player, and Game Boy Advance SP editions. That has proven to be a smart thing, especially giving new chances to play games that were missed a decade ago. It has happened here with Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and to the ape itself. Donkey Kong really took its prime here in more than one way. The game also introduced his partner Diddy Kong, which appeared in several games on his own including the sequel to Donkey Kong Country, and Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64. Still, the game here made its mark very well again.

Donkey Kong Country for the Game Boy Advance consists very well here as Donkey & Diddy try to go through six different worlds and over 30 different levels, trying to reclaim all your bananas from K. Rool, and his henchmen pals. The game follows very well, from its originator back in 1994 for the Super NES. Arguably, the games graphics are very well conjured and created. The game itself can be frustrating at times, only if you're using trying to spell out "KONG" on each level, and trying to access the hidden bonus areas. The game also includes 2 bonus games that weren't here in the Super NES version: Candy Kong's Dancing Contest, and Funky's Fishing. Both mini-games, can be optional to all, but not as exciting as the courses itself. The dancing one is sometimes very difficult to beat and can take you days to beat. Still, they are worth trying, if you want to play those alone. Another downside is the controls. They can be difficult at times to control Donkey at certain times, but thankfully you can allow Diddy to maintain the control, if optional. The game itself does seem like an all around challenge for veterans and newcomers to the ape kind alike.

All in all, I suggest you buy Donkey Kong Country. It is just a great game, and I missed it the first time out for the Super NES, becuase I didn't own the system. The game does show a little more promise here on the Game Boy Advance. I truly suggest this as a must have for any Game Boy Advance owner. You truly should consider having monkey on tfhe brain.

super great game!!! the graphics are some of the best yet! you can play as diddy or donkey kong in some of the most fun levels!
one thing I dont like is how you beat king.K.rool all he does is throw a crown at you and you have to jump over it and when he stomps his feet cannon balls come down! this game is worth the money!

I liked this game a lot!(except is was a little too short.)But,you get to have a scrapbook where you get a little camera. You also get to go fishing with Funky Kong, and dancing with Candy Kong.

I enjoyed playing this game.

Not perfect but it'll do.

Let me start off by saying that this is a great product. I enjoy it quite a bit and it arrived from the seller very quickly!

But, alas, nothing is perfect in this world. I was expecting a fairly close port of the original game... but this is pretty different. The graphics were a BIG let down, and the included mini-games fall far short of fun/interesting... and to be honest with you I could not even find a reason for the mini-games other than wasting a few minutes- you don't get life balloons or bananas for winning! Controls are also VERY poor. Nintendo fudged a little bit and you can tell you get some assistance but at the same time there are parts where only blind luck will get you through and others where this same assistance actually gets you killed! It's still a GREAT value though... original SNES carts are not easy to come by and are priced higher than this too. It's also very functional and well deserving of four stars!
