old school fun

I bought this for my brother, who loves this game. I myself enjoy it too. It has an old school platform feel to it, which has been lacking in most modern day games. It is wacky and humorous which keeps you playing more and more.

Great old school

I played this game when it originally came out on Sega. I loved it. I loved the graphics because it wasn't the usual bright and cheery like Sonic or Super Marios Bros. It was darker "grittier". I liked the humor too it's off beat and different. This was the first game I bought for my GBA.Yes the GBA version is alittle dumbed down, but it had to be just fit it on to the super tiny cartridge. The overall gameplay is the same. The graphics look the same for the most part. And yes it is hard to see if you don't have a GBA:SP. But keep in mind the game was originally designed for the GameBoy. I'm having a hard time trying too figure what the big deal is about it not having a save system. It's not like the games of today where there is 30 hours of game play or longer. Super Marios Bros 1-3 did not have a save system. Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3 did not have a save system. Contra, Double Dragon, Duck Hunt, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, and just about every video game before the Nintendo 64 and Playstation did not have a save feature and they did just fine. Again the game is a port from another system and time, so there are bound to be some differences. I love this game it's still one of my favorites. Earthworm Jim might not be for everyone. Like I said the humor different, the game in general is a little different. But give it a try. If your not sure get it on sale or borrow but give it a try. Just don't knit pick it to death.

Great Game!

Hey-I could never ever beat this game as a kid. I finally beat it as an adult! How sad is that? But even though I'm grown up, it's still just as much fun. It's really a challenging game. The graphics aren't steller, but comon it's an old sega game. You can't save on it--big deal. Charge up the gameboy and leave it on! That's what I did. That's what makes the game CHALLENGING--you can't beat it in 5 mins. It'll probably take a good couple of hours, depending on how good you are. I like how some levels you actually have to figure out what to do next and others are just straight forward and obvious. This game is VERY creative I think. Great for all ages.

DO NOT LISTIN TO THOSE RETARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The origanal earthworm jim is possibly the best game ever freak'in made.
But this port SUCKS!
Every one who gave THIS version of the game a score higher then a 2 is:
1.mental
2.saten
3.Georg Bush
4.some one who worked on the game
5.some desprite fan who would give a shovel of crap with EWJ on it
a perfect score.

Honestly, what the @$#*!

Graphics 1/5
First off, the sprites have less then 1/2 the frames of the origenal.
Seciond of all there is almoast no fx.
In level 2 (at the end when fighting a boss) you have to jump out of the
way of fire to make it hit and destroy the platform the boss is standing on in order to kill it. But in this version the retards at "Game titan"(I never herd of them eiver) did not even bother to animate the platform falling, it sits there in thin air, and the boss just flys across the screen!

Sound 2/5
Thay took out half the sound fx to add a "snot a problem" voice efect at the start of the 4th level.
Thay dident even get the music placement right!
(youed think thay would actilly play the game there porting)

There is soooo mutch more wrong with this game, but now my fingers hurt!

On one positive side the tube levels are a lot better!

In closing, if want to play EWJ on the GBA, you should consider buying one
of those carts that you can put games from other systems on (or even computer programs!)

Earthworm Jim Is The BEST Game Boy Game EVER!!!

This game is an update to the classic SNES version, and it's very well done. The graphics are good, the sound is nice and the environments are nicely polished. But the backgrounds don't move and the animation is slightly choppy. But other than that, the game is great! It's a little too cartoony for my taste but I still enjoy it! Buy this game, you won't regret it!!!

EWJ has done it again!

Earthworm Jim made his first debute on the Super Nintendo System and now he's playable on the amazing 32 bit GBA system.
This game features:
Exclusive mini games
High quality graphics
And impressive sounds.

What I didn't like about this game was:
The animation wasn't really as fun as it was on other consoles.
It can be a bit fustraiting sometimes.

But for me as an Earthworm Jim fan I'd recomend you to get this game.

I love this game!

Earthworm Jim? Cool game! I've played it on SEGA, and it was purdy good! I like it! Now it's on GameBoyAdvance! Cool! EARTHWORM JIM! EARTHWORM JIM! EARTHWORM JIM! EARTHWORM JIM! EARTHWORM JIM! It's cool, that you can shoot from pistol and crack these pesky starlings with your head. And the bosses aren't so boring like in the other games. Cool!

Great addition for your GBA

When I first saw this game on GBA I knew i had 2 get it because I had hours of fun playing it on Sega. The Pros of the game are: 1. Good, solid Graphics 2. Smooth gameplay 3. Great sound fx and background Music. 4. A simple but challenging game which makes it so you can play it for quite a while.
The only thing I didn't like was that you could not save your game so you have to start all over if you turn it off or quit. But overall, this game is funny, excitind, and a must have for your Game Boy Advance.

this is not the same earthworm jim

i love earthworm jim, but this game is a very poor port of the genisis/SNES original. VERY poor control and poor frame rate make this game very disappointing to any one who enjoyed genisis/snes version. if you've never played those, then you may enjoy this piece of poop, other wise stay away from this game.

waste of time
