And now a word from someone who's actually played the game!

well I played the GBA version of Earthworm Jim. It's the same game as always, which is good, but with two major problems. Firstly, the graphics. They just aren't as good as they should and could be. The GBA has BETTER hardware than a Super Nintendo and deserves greater levels of respect. Unfortunately not here.

The big one is this: You'll never finish it. It's not too hard or anything, it's just that this is a huge game...and well, long story short THERE IS NO SAVE FEATURE. That's right, you can't save your game. If you want to play through the entire game, you have to do it in one sitting. This glaring oversight ruins so much about this game. There's very little replay value because eventually those first couple of levels will start to get very dull.

As far as the levels themselves, they're pretty good. This is the same game you've been playing and loving. It's awesome. But once again, VERY repetitive due to the number of times you'll be playing it.

One of the greatest games ever is totally ruined by careless developers wanting a cash in. If they had just bothered to put in a save game feature, Earthworm Jim could have been one of the greatest games ever.

I got this game as a birthday present after getting 1/2 of the money for a GBA and Tony Hawk 2, and I have to say, this is a great game. My cousin has this for Sega Genesis and he loves it (on both platforms :). The only thing wrong is it may get boring or be too hard for some. The graphics and sound effects make the game a hilarous addition to anyone's GBA collection.

A note for Carter Andrews (and all who may be interested):
You can kind of save by entering this code until you get to the level you were on:
During gameplay, pause by pressing START, then press ->, R, B, A, L, L, A, R. Don't confuse "->" (right) with "R".

Earthworm Jim is definitely the best platform game on Game Boy Advance. Just like the version on SNES, it packs countless hours of gameplay that will keep you laughing with Jim's crazy antics.

Earthworm Jim contains 9 levels with 3 different difficulty levels that will kepp you coming back for more. Each level is goes in-depth with countless playful enemies and some of the craziest bosses you'll ever see. Tasks include hovercraft racing, hamster riding, going place to place underwater in a submarine, and skydiving competitions. I've owned this game for about 4 months now and it still doesn't get boring. This is the best game in the Earthworm Jim series yet!

When I first saw this game on GBA I knew i had 2 get it because I had hours of fun playing it on Sega. The Pros of the game are: 1. Good, solid Graphics 2. Smooth gameplay 3. Great sound fx and background Music. 4. A simple but challenging game which makes it so you can play it for quite a while.
The only thing I didn't like was that you could not save your game so you have to start all over if you turn it off or quit. But overall, this game is funny, excitind, and a must have for your Game Boy Advance.

Entertaining, but colors too dark, and no saving

Earthworm Jim features some highly entertaining and freakish sprite animations, with weird activities like launching a cow into space, snot monsters, slugs, hyperactive poodles with fangs, and other fun oddities. The level designs are complex and challenging.

However, the very dark colors do not work well on the non-backlit GameBoy Advance screen. I have a number of other Game Boy Advance titles including Chu Chu Rocket and Rayman Advance. Earthworm Jim's levels and backgrounds, by comparison, are extremely dark, with very low contrast, frequently using browns, grays, dark shades of red, and black. This might work on a CRT screen but does not work well on the reflective LCD screen. Even in bright light, it is very hard to distinguish objects and see attackers coming to get you.

Rayman Advance is more attractive and it is much easier to see the action. Earthworm Jim's animation seems jerky by comparison. And Rayman Advance allows you to save your progress. (Yes, I'm aware there is a cheat to allow you to select a starting level; this is not a good workaround, in my opinion).

I recommend you buy Rayman Advance and avoid Earthworm Jim. Developers should be encouraged to optimize their titles better for usability on each platform.

The games graphics, animations, backgrounds and Antics make this one well worth it !!!!

The fact that ther weas no save game feature was annoying until I figured out that I can jump to any level I want by using the cheat codes offered at most game sites like IGN or Gamespot!!!

This makes this game wll worth it!!!!

I loved this game when it was originally out on the Super Nintendo. It has great gameplay, a fun story, and a quite funny ending. While this is just a remake of that game, it'll be great to relive the experience in GameBoy Advance glory. I highly recommend to those of you who have not played it yet and who would love a good platformer.

I bought this for my brother, who loves this game. I myself enjoy it too. It has an old school platform feel to it, which has been lacking in most modern day games. It is wacky and humorous which keeps you playing more and more.

This is a very good game exept for two Huge Problems!!! This game doesn't have a save feature, so the first levels get very BOORRING!!! So unless you cheat you wont get to the end. The graphics are horrible! You need to be in perfect lighting to see some of the stuff in this game. Other than that i think you should get this game. (yeah right)
