Air Force Delta- Direct Hit!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 6 / 6
Date: February 15, 2000

Air Force Delta is a fast paced, neckbreaking rush of fun. The missions vary from air to ground to flat-out dogfighting. Adversaries via plane are a true challenge! As you progress and earn money, you access to different planes with different levels of mobility, speed, excelleration, and defense. The down-side is that they do not vary enough. A deeper variety of planes would enhance gameplay i.e. vary weapon strength, lock-on length, and defense abilities. For the first Dreamcast fighter-pilot game, it is awesome. FUN!

You probably heard about this game and wanted to get it right away, but looked at the reviews. Some of the people that wrote reviews saying that it was a bad game and that made you think twice, am I right? Well don't reconsider, it's a great game.

There are 20+ levels and all kinds of enemies you have to ... and all different kinds of missions you have to fly and complete. Plus you earn credits after completing missions and that enables you to buy different and better planes to help you on your quest on defeatingf this game.

So in conclusion to this game review, i say it is a good game to buy and you'll be addicted to it in no time.

Airfoce Delta is a very fun game. If your looking for a jet fighter game you found it. It has realistic enviorments where you can blow up tons of things. you cruise at about 450-850mph. There is a large varity of aircraft. There are 20+ missions. Some you will fly in and blown the enemy or you'll fly as a escort. Over all I think this is a great game.

I belive this is one of best games I have ever played because it has great graphics and tons air planes and levels. How many other games can you speed over 800mph and be shooting at moving airplanes at the same time?

This game is very easy to pick up and play. The power of the Dreamcast is fully demonstrated with Air Force Delta. After finishing a mission, the player can review the whole combat scene from start to finish. The replay shows all angle of air combat. It's like an animatd movie. This is a must see and a must buy!!

It starts with destroying 3 B-1B bombers and ends with taking on an entire island fortress full of fighter planes and ground forces all targeting your little plane. Realistic graphics and 20 real life aircrafts from the Kfir to the F-22 Raptor, even the F-177. There are no kill-everything on the screen missions, and you never need to destroy more than you would need to.

I would run over the maximum of 1000 words if i told you all the good things about this game. 1st off you will never gett bored playing this game unless your 85 years old and you don't even know your playing a game or where you are no less. Not to mension you can Fly a Steath A STEALTH and you don't even need to follow the mission you could just be flying around blowin crap up. and if you do want to do the missions they are hard but not to hard so at lease you have a challenge not like other games you blow up a plane and you beat the game no no this is one of akind you won't find a better flight sim. on any other system and i have even played one of the best flight sims. for the PC and doesn't even reach the fun you can have on this game. so to complete my review all i have to say is this game kicks ...

A great combat game (which is what it's supposed to be)

This game can be either really easy or really hard, depending on the settings the player chooses. There are two settings that really matter in terms of difficulty: difficulty level and control type. Difficulty level determines how hard it is to take out enemy planes, how easily you get shot down, and how hard it is to evade enemy missiles. Control type is found in the options menu (when you select a mission) and has an even bigger effect. With the novice (defalt) controls, your plane automatically turns back to level after turns and you can't control yaw (rotational turn left and right) or invert. On expert mode, you can do anything: barrel roll, reverse illemans, REAL break turns, etc. The latter makes the already difficult levels nearly impossible (except for dogfights, which are much easier with expert controls). Secondly, the levels are incredibly detailed; at one point, you fly into an enemy base that is in caverns in a mountain. It feels like mission impossible. Finally, I don't know what people are talking about when they say that the plane you choose doesn't matter. It does. Just trust me. I would recommend this game to almost anyone. It does a good job of making levels hard for better replay value and allows you to some crazy moves with experts controls. Its best trait is that you can play it on two different levels: a plane-based shoot-em-up or a combat intensive flight-sim.

A truly GREAT flight experience

Air Force Delta is one of the sweetest games on the Dreamcast! The graphics are not great but they are cool and more than get the job done. The varing missions keep the game refreshing and exciting and add a lot of replay value. The music is not worthy of a seperate cd soundtrack but it is good for the game. There are TONS of planes to buy which add some depth to the game because you have to choose a good plane for the various missions.

Is you want a great flying experience for the Dreamcast look no further.

Air Force Delta is one of the best games I'd ever played!

Any more realistic and you'd be Tom Cruise! This game is a must have! Dreamcast would be worthless without it! From the most elite flyers to just the beginners, this game suits all with excellent replay value! You'll treasure this game for years!
