Dragon Strike can only be called a Shooter/RPG. It takes place in the land of Krynn, one of the many worlds in the universe of Dungeons and Dragons. You play the role of a Dragon rider out to save the land from the Queen of Darkness.
The gameplay is simple. In each level there are certain objects or creatures which must be destroyed in order to proceed. In some of them you will face a boss.
The control leaves a little to be desired, since when flying your dragon it only gives you two altitude settings, low and high. If you fly too high you can hit something, and if you fly too low you'll hit something. It's also just a little bit too easy to change altitude when you don't want to.
The sound effects are basic, but they're not really that bad. There could have been a little more variety and nobody would have been too hurt, but oh well. It's better than Hydlide. The music is excellent in my opinion, although there aren't that many songs. Each dragon has its own theme, and then there's a few other songs, like the intro theme and the theme for when you die.
The story is basic. You have to save Krynn from destruction.
Overall, a good game. If ya can find it anywhere, get it.
