Frustrating Fun

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 2 / 2
Date: January 15, 2003
Author: Amazon User

Another game my wife got me for Christmas, thinking I'd like it. Don't get me wrong, as bowling games go, this one's a hoot. And as I said, it's very frustrating. My wife had as about as much luck with it as I did; which is to say none.

Why? Well, you could release the ball O. K. down the alley, but as the ball rolls, one must steer it around various obstacles on the lane, including ramps, grease, beer cans, and metal deflectors. If you hit the pins, you are indeed lucky. Thus as a result, this doesn't happen too often, about once a game for me.

But I'm sure practice makes perfect; and its not much different than real bowling on open times on Saturday Afternoon with other people around.

I also own Masque's Alley 19 bowling, I have trouble with that too, but takesw a lot of skill to control the ball and bowler. I do much better during league night at the local lanes for real. I played a third game at my brother's once I can't remember but I think it was the PBA bowl. Once I figured that out, I got a 300. As close to the real thing as I got.

But all in all, Monsters Inc. bowl is a lot of fun; just keep practicing, it will get beter. My wife thinks a joy stick or a D-pad would be better than the cursor buttons. I'm not sure.
