This game must be a gift from the heavens above. It is by far the best FIFA yet from the best sports game label (EA Sports.) With so many teams and leagues to choose from, itll never loose the gameplay. Managing your team from every aspect of the game is my favorite part of the game, but whats not to like. This futbol game is 10 times better than Winning Eleven 6, unless you like having way less teams and unrealistic gameplay. This game is a MUST for every soccer fan. This game brings you the closest you will ever be to "Bending Like Beckham." Peace.

Fifa 2004 will be the best soccer game ever! EA always manages to make the best sports franchises and this is no exception. It has all the teams you want, great graphics, and awesome gameplay. Winning Eleven 6 is for FRONTRUNNERS! Of all the soccer games out there this will be the best and EA will always make the best soccer games. Don't use 2003 as an example, 2004 will be much better. The people at EA always improve their mistakes. This game is for true soccer fans. It's a must have for anyone that wants an excellent game. Mediocre games just dont cut it. This is not one of those. This is truly a great game.

I recently got married...so this means that to buy FIFA 2004, I needed to tell my wife I would be buying this iconic game, instead of going out and pre-ordering like I used to. Well, I have read so much about this game, been anticipating for months, so about 5 minutes ago I bought FIFA 2004. I couldn't help it, I watched some video last night of the gameplay and the amazing graphics. Now my only problem will be coming up with an excuse about why I bought it without the much stressed "communication" people need in marriage. Oh well, I think when it arrives I will be too busy drooling over my game winning run against Man-U by Michael Owen at Anfield to really understand what, if anything I did wrong.
Why did I buy it? Because, "It's in the game."

Now lets get to the main point, fifa has got good detail. But i want a game with good gameplay and more realistic. And i dont want to spend 50 quid.Fifa aint the king of soccer any more, best advice i can give you is to save a tenner and get pro evolution soccer 3 which is somewhat better.

Fantastic!

Hi guys!

I just got FIFA 2004 yesterday. I played about 10 hours running, until I felt I was exhausted! :) Just before that I played FIFA 2003, borrowed from a friend of mine. You know guys, it's like SKY and EARTH - such a big difference! I can't say that I have already found all the pros and cons, but I found this game as a huge step UP! The graphics are just outstanding! Lots of opportunities to score and scored goals look stunning! The only minor thing which did actually disappoint me a bit was that when you score the croud does not outburst as in FIFA 2003. Somebody might ignore it at all, but in FIFA 2003 audience support was better from my point of view.

DON'T even hesitate! Buy it!!! You will be HAPPY!

Wish people would try games before writing reviews. This is an utter waste of 40 quid. So its got the licences but what about gameplay? The controls are so unresponsive I thought the cmputer was playing itself. Unforgiveable slow down at critical moments, replays that often show no ball (or players). It crashed twice within ten minutes. A career mode that lasts only 5 years. Eh?. Most British teams have been going for 50 - 100 yrs. And I can still beat Brazil 7-0 in the first half when I'm playing as Scotland. Is one star the minimum I can give?

I haven't played this yet, but FIFA hasn't dissapointed me since. FIFA is one of the few games that you could play for days witout getting bore and the best part is that with every edition of FIFA, they have improved the game. I am most excited about this edition with all the administrative stuff that you can do and even more realistic movements and reaction from players

Don't waste your time with those other soccer games. They are all just wannabees of FIFA...yea, I said it!

Much props to EA for such a fantastic OVERHAUL of the game- so a large overhaul that they mis judged the level of playability. Heres the breakdown:
Pros:
-Much improved graphics
-Much improved control, approaching the Winning eleven level; I REALLY like Off the ball- give the guy who thought that up a nice bonus.
-More game types: practice etc.
-Improved dead ball situations- still room for improvement
-Online of course, but its expected.
Cons:
-Slow gameplay- if the argument is that its more realistic, well... ITS TOO REALISTIC THEN. Needs to be sped up a touch more- esp. passing. Fast passes e.g. one touch passes, etc., ARE ALSO TOO SLOW.
-VERY BUGGY thru pass & lobbing. I think they overcompensated A.I. to direct ball movement- sometimes centering the ball is the only option when the should be more.
-Radar is very large now, tho with Off the ball, I don't think you need it.
-Replays suck. Whoever thought of replaying the scoring teams goalie should be shot, and fired.
-They moved from one bad menu UI, to a better yet still bad UI...

Overall: EA has made some significant steps in this release showing an impressive blend of graphics and realism. The game is however marred by obvious bugs and slow gameplay. Good try though, but no cigar. Still a good buy to play w/ friends.

I have been a fifa player since 98 and must say without a doubt that this is the worst version yet. The controls are so slow I thought there was something wrong with the game. The players are not responsive as in 03. The crowds are great, the graphics are cool, practice mode is long over do. I bought this game on blind faith because ea has never let me down. I am very disappointed with this version and am getting rid of it ASAP. I was really trying to like it but couldn't. It's like they rushed it out without proper testing. There is no flow to the game, the players seem like they are stuck in mud. Don't waste your money on this game, 2003 is still the best version yet.

... I've played soccer since I was 4 so understandably I know the game. FIFA, unlike other soccer systems, incorporates runs, give-and-goes, but mainly provides the best playability I've ever seen.

It's VERY realistic from the chants to the camera angle. For the kids that like the action, hesitate to buy because the view is such that you can see a lot of the field. It enables you to get the full vision, and is quite an improvement over 2003.

For those that have the online hook up this game will be a forerunner into a new age of soccer gaming. Grab the game and the online adapter, this game will be incredible.
