An amazing find!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 10 / 10

With 12 games, wide variety, old school game play, 120
challenges, stat tracking, and awesome sound this might be
the best value ever in a GBA cart. Every game is fun, some
are exceptional, and all of them are addictive. It's going
to take me a ton of hours to get near 100% completion.
Challenges are quick to play and vary in difficulty, once
earned you can play them again and again for cash to unlock
more games and challenges. Right now the biggest challenge
is to find a copy .. it's only in a few stores.

My favorites are Treasure Hunter and Merchant Galactic.
There are puzzlers, shooters, platformers, a driving game,
something for everyone really. The slinky-like enemy in
Rubes Cubes you meet around level 11 drives me crazy. And
mowing down chickens with a cow in Milk Run? Too cool!

Good use of sound effects. The atmosphere for "Asteroid Mine"
will rock you. Graphics could use a little polish in some areas
but you'll be too busy having fun to notice. You'll keep this
game on your active list a long time.

12-in-1 little gem

Bored by all those arcade classics compilation that give you nothing more than four or five ancestors with archaic graphics and gameplay that make you realize how far video games have gone since and how outdated they are?

Here comes Ultimate Arcade Games: for a budget price, here you will find twelve games that go beyond the original arcade classics they have been designed after. You will recognize Pac-man, Asteroids, Galaga, and Pitfall among others, all revamped for the best. The old-school feeling have been kept, but everything has been improved: graphics, sound, and gameplay have been redone to match today standards, all blended in an extended version of the original concept. And it works.

In fact, it worked even really beyond expectations for me: I've found myself hooked to this cartridge for hours. Just pure fun everywhere, with many good little ideas in each game that enhance and renew really the original concept, for the best. Don't let the budget price fool you: this is arcade gaming at its best, where 'old-school' don't mean 'sacrified technical aspect'. And with a lot of unlockable content, the fun will last for a really, really long time. Unless you don't like arcade games, just buy it.

Old School Games with a New School Twist!

This is a great GBA cart! You have 12 games that are like remakes of classic arcade and computer games of the 80s.

My favorites include:

"Milk Run" is like the second and third Super Mario Bros games on the NES. The graphics are amazing and the power ups are inventive and sometimes even funny.

"Tresure Hunter" is basically Pit Fall with better graphics and mazes. The game has a very Indiana Jones type feel to it.

"Chip Bot" is like a cross between Pac Man and Bomber Man. The results are eXpLoSivE!

"Bee Hive" might just be the most addictive game on the cart. It reminds me of some old computer puzzle game, but I forgot its name.

"Highway 51" is a Spy Hunter clone that totally surpasses the orginal. You even get to fight giant UFOs at the end of each level.

"Flipside" is an Arknoid game with another twist! Besides reflecting the ball you can shot a lazer that makes all the blocks of the same color that are connected to the block you hit ... slowly vaporize. It adds more of a puzzle elemement to this clasic little reflex game.

What I like about the games are that they are challenging, but very fair. I was never that good at Spy Hunter, but I can blast through many levels on Highway 51. Overall, this might just be the coolest collection of games you can buy anywhere for just $20.00! I hope they make a sequel soon.

The game is very good. All 12 games within the product are fun and give a nostalgic feel but with new twists. I am stating to like the 100 or so extra challenges even more than the basic games because they are mini games that can be picked up and played quickly to kill time while waiting to do daily stuff. I'm glad I bought it.

Surprisingly good

I bought this game because of the price but have found it to be really entertaining. All 12 of the games are fun and challenging. Most of the games are improved or expanded versions of the originals and play great. I finally got into the "challenges" and found 120 mini games to play. The statistics that are tracked and the high score boards are pretty cool also and totally unexpected for a budget priced GBA game.

I like almost all the games. The bonus challenges are fun and worth the price just for them.
