Excellent!! Nintendo...Redefining the Videogame

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

Though they have always been committed to the philosophy of constantly redefining the videogame experience, from the early days of the Power Glove to the recently released Nintendo DS, Nintendo has always tried to reinvent video gaming whenever possible. Warioware: Twisted represents another example of Nintendo's innovative mind at its best. I just bought the game yesterday and I can honestly say it delivers on is game packaging promise "It's easy to pick up but hard to put down". Just like Twisted's predecessor WarioWare Microgames, Twisted presents the player with a rapid fire barrage of mini-games but this time with a new "twist" (pun intended). Instead of using the gameboy's directional pad to control motion you now turn the gameboy itself much as you would a steering wheel to play most of the games. As "gimmicky" as this may sound, Twisted (furnished with a gyro-motion sensor) executes this feature flawlessly and makes the game ridiculously fun!! Expect the same crazy characters from the original but the graphics have improved to take advantage of GBA's capabilities. If you liked the original WarioWare or are interested at all in a new experience on your aging GBA, check this one out!! You won't regret it.

I am a VERY, VERY casual gamer.
I usually never beat a game before trading it in for another, in fact just yesterday I traded in a few old XBox games for this jewel. I put it in a few moments later and havn't stopped playing yet! I already beat it and am working on getting all souveneirs. This twirky and truly innovative game is the best handheld game I've played since Super Mario Advance...(I am a Mario NUT)
Also I've played it for the DS in the store and spent litterally 3 hours playing! Buy this game.

Better than Kirby Tilt and Tumble!

When I was 17, I got a game for Christmas called Kirby Tilt and Tumble. It was a Game Boy Color game, but I had a GBA at the time. It was pretty awkward to play the game...

Then a year later I became a Wario Ware fan, and own almost every Wario Ware game known to man, and almost own a DS and Wario Ware Touched. I waited a long time to get this game, and now I finally have it! I really enjoy how you can turn the GBA around and not use the buttons, although on Kat and Ana's stage, you don't have to turn the GBA around, but you do have to hit the A button. But for some games, you have to turn the GBA around and use the buttons. Nonetheless, I really enjoy Wario Ware Twisted. NOTE: Don't play this game in the car, because the pak will detect vibrations!

A Twisted Game for Everyone!

I just got this game yesterday (October 4th) and I love it! It's an exiting game because they added a built in gyro sensor and rumble feature for twice the fun! I deffinetly reccomend this game for all ages! Over all, I give this game 5 stars for being one of the best games ever! Now I always keep that game in my Nintendo DS!

Buy this game now and make me rich!

None of the other 3 WarioWare games displeased me, and I did not expect this game to do that to me either. When Wario lost at a game, he got mad and threw his GBA at the wall only to find it in pieces. He took it to Dr. Crygor to fix it only to find him throw the destroyed GBA into what looked like a washing machine.
What came out was a GBA with no buttons but Wario could play it by tilting it. Wario thought that he could make a new game to make him rich with this technology, so he assembled his microgame crew to make over 200 new games. At first when you see the box that holds the game you'll think that it's way too big because the box is twice the regular box's size! Well that's because the gyro-sensor on the game is kind of big. If you thought the Yoshi Topsy Turvy(See my review) tilt-sensor was big, the gyro-sensor is twice as big as that. Enough about the size, you want to hear about the game. One thing about the game that I like is how the difficulty increased from the other WarioWare games. But most of the difficulty comes from not how hard the game is but what to do and sometimes a lot is based on luck. All the games are controlled by tilting the GBA(Or SP and DS) and sometimes pressing A. All the games last about 5 seconds and to beat a character you have to beat a certain number of games and then beat the boss. You can beat the story mode in about 3 days but that does not mean rent it, beat it, give it back. In Spindex, you can play games you already played for that character in kind of a practice mode, where the difficulty changes after every game and the speed increases too.
You can clear it if you get to a certain number and like all WarioWare games, if you clear all the games you'll get something special. But I've never done that in any WarioWare game. When you tilt the GBA, the game will rumble kind of like a Gamecube controller. But this takes battery power so I just turned it off in options. This game wouldn't be that great wiithout souvenirs, you can unlock them after you beat a character. There are 140 souvenirs you can collect, souvenirs are things that you can mess around with like piano lessons, certain high score games like air hockey and jumping over the fence with sheep, and other things like toys.

I've only had this game about 4 days, and I'm still going to try and unlock everything. So overall, a great game.

Great Game!

This game is really fun. It kept me entertained until I pretty much beat the game. The replay value is not so great though, especially since you do the same thing over and over again sometimes. However, for its price I think it's quite worth it. You will laugh and spin and have the time of your life when it's new.

if you like mega micro mini games you'll love twisted

THIS GAME LIKE THE LAST IS INSANLY ADDICTIVE! THOUGH THE TWISTING PART TAKES AWHILE TO GET USED TO I BELIVE THIS IS THE BEST GBA GAME THAT'S CAME OUT. IT'S PRETTY HARD TO PROGRESS THOUGH THE LEVELS NOW. LIKE ON THE FIRST ONE I GET UP IN TO LEVEL 80 BUT NOW I CAN'T GET UP TO LEVEL 30. I'M GLAD THEY DID THAT, BECAUSE IT PUTS MORE REPLAY VALUE ON IT. THE EXTRA UNLOCKABLES ARE GREAT. THERE ARE MANY NEW GAMES TO UNLOCK AND OTHER STUPID THINGS LIKE A YOGA MAN WHO KISSES HIS OWN BUTT (UNLOCK THE YOGA MAN AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN) OVERALL THIS IS WORTH ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY(AS LONG AS IT'S UNDER $40) BUY IT NOW!!

This game is alot of fun and is hard to put down. I am a 51 old woman that loves to play gameboy games and I have all the Wario games. Took a little getting use to having to move the gameboy back and forth or in circles but it is a lot of fun.

In this game Wario tries to beat this Space Invaders-like game but throws his GBA up in the air then breaks it. He goes to Dr. Crygor's to get it fixed. Crygor throws the busted GBA in a washing machine thingy called the Gravitator... and so begins this game of epic gyrations. It combines innovation with uniqueness and funniness. I myself have collected the whole Spindex and one Souvenir left. But I come back to the game everyday. It is good for casual gamers like me who play for about 15 to 30 minutes at a time.

Tips:

-Play the games and get souvenirs!
-Also watch out for the Frantic Fronk games that are only 3 seconds.

AWESOME!
