Greatest game ever

When I saw the poster in the game store I fell in love with it. I got it the day it came out. But when I looked at the cover the graphics looked really crappie. On the way back home I read the back cover and all it said was to create a cool robot so I thought it had really no plot like all of the Pokemon games. But when I popped it in the Game Cube I was addicted. I would recommend this game to anyone whose anyone.

Custom robo is one of the best games ever!!!!!I have already beaten story mode,almost grand battle,unlock chickenheart,ray legend,rahu 1 and 2,ruhiel, and lots more.Ifound pods to be really usless unless you like hiding in corners like a coward.Anyway,really fun game.Great multiplayer.Enoughunlockables for you to go outside and kill your self....Oh, and all the secret characters are in grand battle in the outside world(im pretty sure).Rahu 1 is in isabellas mansion or the place with the green watery stuff,you have to get at the very edge of it, go left(youll be in a secret passage)go up, then right,and when you can see yourself in the water,go as right as you can and press A.Rahu 2 is in the bronze cup.when you have to fight lucy,keep talking to her over and over till she gives you him.Those are to of the many things you can unlock(and look for rahu 3 in the silver cup battle royal!) and many incredably powerful illegal parts you can use like worm(and upgraded dragon gun)and much more.One of the best robos is ray legend, an obsolete illegal robo that has a hard to use but powerful charge attack, a weak defense and dwn,but recovers in a second from being knocked down.Wow, ive told you toooooo many unlockable guys, but not all of them(muahahahahahah) but overral, and extremly fun game that can get really hard!Oh, and here is a small secret for you custom robo lovers.......a sequel is coming out, custom robo 2.I think you can fuse robos........anyway, a game worth getting the gamecube for.

Custom Robo did it's part in delivering good gameplay. Well when I say gameplay, I means pressing 'b' over and over and over again. It's pretty fun. THe fault? storyline! You are a bounty hunter... well sorta, not really. you join the police force and figure out about this evil robot thing. Then you kill it. WHoever came up with this wasn't very creative! I'd rather watch beethoven's 6th symphony than go throught this story! Rent it, and save yourself some money. The story in crap. If you are a custom robo fan-boy and would like to complain to me, email me at ptalen@charter.net. and for the love of god use spell check...

Still though the story was silly, but I still liked it get's you addicted using this kid who has a natural talent with this robos. It is very fun choosing the name of your character choosing what to make them say to someone. You have three different choices of opinions to say to your friends or enemy. At first I was expecting big gundams makings total mayhem. Instead I see this little robots getting shot out of a cube. Even though the game play is still good you get all kind of weapons to customize your robo with to make them invincible. Like leg pats to make you quicker,bomb parts,jetpack, and of course your gun. I liked this game think you should get I just hope a number 2 comes out I think it's that good it was to short I beat it in a week.

This was basically a nice breakthrough game for me. What I mean, is that when I first bought it, the only thing about it that interested me was the multiplayer combat. Granted, you can only do so much when you first get it seeing as how your selection of parts is limited, but that is what forces you to get into the story mode.

Now, like most people, I wasnt really looking forward to the story assuming that it would be a lame plot with little or no replay value. I was completely surprised, and to be honest, blown away by what the story actually had to offer. All though considered bland by most, I found it interesting. Without trying to give too much away.... basically you live in an artificial world. The actual "real" world was destroyed ages ago by a being that has now merged itself with a custom robo, and is continuously evolving. Basically everyone lives in a dome, and isnt aware of it. The evil apocalyptic being returns, and as the main character your job is to discover why, and stop it. Thats not SO bad.

Once you've played through the game, you have the option of doing so again with all the parts you previously aquired which is pretty fun if you like owning the computer to no end. Multiplayer really shines once you start unlocking the bulk of the parts, especially if you have two or three other friends that are willing to play with you.

Sadly, even if the game is called "Custom Robo", there isnt much of a strategy or finese when it comes to actually finding a good customization for your robo. As long as you are using a powerful gun part, thats basically all you need. Now you can find parts that work well with eachother, and use them to your advantage... but it takes a lot of experimentation... more so than most would consider worth their while.

If you're looking for something new, or just enjoy killing other robots, then you should give this game a shot.

This game has a class of its own because not only is it a shooter, but it's actually strategy too. For example, after seeing your enemy's parts, you might want to change your own. Say that your enemy uses a powerful slow moving gun, you might want to use a fast robo on the ground so that you can dodge those
rounds. There are so many combinations you can do with all the parts, some are good some are bad, you just need to keep testing until you got the perfect match. My perfect match? Below are a few robos of my own.

Peregrine, Metal Bear, Seal Head
Sniper, Claw, Eagle(or Raptor!)
Dual C, Double Mine, Dual C
Dolphin G, Dolphin G, Dolphin G
Swallow!, Swallow!, Eclipse!

(10)Plotline: Rahu, a being that ravaged the world a few hundred years ago is back. Rahu evolves so he has 3 forms in the game. When Rahu is defeated, the Z Sindicate take Rahu back to their hideout. You apply for a bounty hunter job and go through all sorts of tournaments and jobs and finally raiding the Z Sindicate and destroying Rahu.(I tried not to give too much away about the story)

(9)Graphics: They could have done more with the world graphics because the actions and characters are pretty crappy. But holosseum graphics are real good. The holosseums are designed very well so there's a lot of cover. The robos and explosions look great.

(10)Sound: For starters the music was great. The sounds of all the guns bombs, pods, jumping, and explosions were great too. What more could be said?

(10)Control: A to jump and you can press A again and again to jump or air dash depending on your robo, B to shoot your gun, R to shoot your bomb, L to launch your pods, Y can change your target(Two on two battles only) or exchange your current robo for another(Tag Battles only), and X to charge.

(10) Multiplayer: Play any robo and choose any part that you unlocked in one player and do several game modes. Battle Royales, Tag Battles, Head to Head battles, 2 on 1 Handicap Battles, and more.
Some weapons are good against players because players are unpredictable. Play in all 50 levels(If you unlocked them).

(9)Glitches: A few glitches like chracters going through the floor when they get knocked out.

(9)Entertainment: This game is great because you have a lot of variety. It's not like those games where you face a lot of the same enemies over again. You face no one combination twice. You might face people with the same gun or robo but they'll still be using other parts. You always have to change your strategy if you're facing a new robo.

(10)Replay Value: I've beaten the story mode at least 25 times and if you beat it you get arcade mode and Grand Battle. Grand Battle is part of the one player and each place has a tournament or several tournaments including all the places in the outside world. To beat a tournament you have to get one of three trophies but sometimes you have to get a certain trophy for most of the places to get a new tournament. After a battle, you will be rated from your health, time, if you used illegal parts, how many robos you defeated, and etc. You get points when you're rated and your points will be added up to determine if you win a trophy or not. Arcade is where you face 8 robos in a row and you can change your parts through it.

Its a good game to get but it gets a bit repetitive.
I like this game because as u continue u get some real cool stuff it also is kinda funny and actually teaches a little bit about what could happen to the world if we dont learn from history.

I like this game alot! It's packed with cool weapons and custom bodies like you see as Megazords in the power ranger series.
