... this game is ok, it just depends what kind of gamer u are. i had never played a whole game of any of the previous ones, because it sounds really boring. my freind got it, and invited me over, and of course he wants to play it. i wasnt to excited at first because it sounded like a board game on a screen. and those like the name suggests, are really easy games to get board on. I played any way, figuring i could squeze in an excuse to go play football or something more entertaining, but once i started, i was in for a big surprise. it was wwaayy funner than i thought it would be. now dont think that that makes it a great amazing game, or youre underestimating how bad i thought mario party was. The begining was really boring, just rolling the dice, but eventually, when all the rolling was done, we got into a mini game. Now, right about then i was ready to suggest going outside, because i was already bored. Now, most people might think that what i right next is what changed my mind about this game. actually it didnt. thw "mini game" was easy, and boring. all u did was try to press buttons really fast, and try to beat the other people who were pressing buttons really fast.

BORING

i asked my freind the question, because i was starting to think that this couldnt get any worse, and if it did, then i might not be able to even think about video games again. OK, that was a bit dramatic, but u get the point. He says sure (thank the LLOORRDD), but then asks if he could check a new mini game. He does, and this is what changed my veiw on the game. There is not just a lot of button pressing, but also a lot of stratigy. actually, theres none, really it is just a lot of button pressing, but what video game isnt? these games where fun to a cerain point, but im guessing it would get boring after a while. well, thats my review, and i hope nintendo seriously thinks about changing mario partys name.

Rating 5/10

I would have giving it a 3/5 stars, but i was afraid no one would see it if i did that.

I just brought the gamecube back in May of 2003 and along with it, i got Mario Party 4. I tried the game and i immediately fell in love with it. I played it till the end and enjoyed it. The graphics were great (5 of 5), the music was also great (5 of 5). but the controls weren't that good.Just two weeks ago, while playing the mini-game domination (the worst mini-game)i suffered a blister which i still have. Also, the the game had a slow loading time and the game overall was slow. It takes one hour to beat one board. However, i heard that Nintendo corrected these mistakes in Mario Party 5 (new mini-games, more expanded roles for toad, boo, goomba, koopa troopa, and bowser kid, and new boards). Just a few days ago, i read all the reviews for the Mario Party series and found that many people complained about the one-player mode claiming that's weak. I'D LIKE TO TAKE THE TIME AND SAY THAT ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT ARE CRAZY. THE ONE-PLAYER MODE IS OK. I MEAN SOMETIMES TWISTS AND TURNS TAKE PLACE AND I (AN EXPERT) GET BEATEN. THE COMPUTER IS MOST OF THE TIME COMPETITIVE AND GREAT. HOWEVER I HAVE ONE SISTER AND SHE DOESN'T PLAY VIDEO GAMES THAT MUCH SO THE ONE-PLAYER MODE I FOUND IS BETTER THAN MULTI-PLAYER MODE, ESPEACIALLY BEACH VOLLEYBALL. SO MY POINT IS THOSE WHO SAY THAT THE ONE-PLAYER MODE IS WEAK SHOULD GO TO A MENTAL HOSPITAL AND GET THEMSELVES RE-EVALUATED.

Fun with four players-while drunk

I don't know... This game is fun when playing with a group of friends for competition sake, but not a game anyone should rush out and buy-and if you do...do it for the mini-games that are featured in this game.

It's like a board game, if you don't already know- it's a race to see who will get the most stars and coins... My a.d.d. *ha* kicks in when i'm waiting for the computer to complete there roll... it takes the computer forever- PLUS you always have to play with the computer unless you have three other people come over and play- *there always has to be four players* when it would just be fun to play with your room-mate...

Good to own if you don't pay anymore than [$$$] for it...anymore and i'd say you were suckered.

but it's kinda fun...i'd buy mario sunshine instead if you need a touch of classic nintendo.

Love it!

Best of the Mario Party games, but that's not saying much

Let's get one thing across: Any and all Mario Party games are only put to good use if you have three friends or willing family members. Otherwise, it's useless. "Mario Party 4" was created solely for the multiplayer, despite the (rather boring) single-player story mode.

Mario Party 4 is a HORRIBLE game!! The entertainment is for toddlers or adults with and IQ of a rock. I've rented it and it is so boring! Don't get it!!

I like the game and the concept however, I found the controller sooooo frustrating!! You are unable to aim at what you would like in order to hose it down. I kept playin thinking in time I would get the hang of it not so. Is there any way to change the aim setting? Great game but that feature took away alot of enjoyment.

this game has great mini games. It is cool! You get stars and coins in a highly detailed game board. The only drawback is that a game takes too long
