I'm Espio and I love all of the mario party games from 1-6 but Mario Party 4 is one I was dissapointed in. First lets go through some downsides. Its quite slow compared to some of the other games, some of the items are...well...chee-seey and some of the boards are not so great.Hey now for good stuff.Shy-Guys board rocks!plain and simple, the mini games are great and the graphics well their boss! So if your a big fan of the series like me then get it it's cool but if your looking for your first Party then I recomend Mario Party 1 or 2.

Mario Shines in this great party of a game.

I reccomend this game for those who like to parr-tay! This is a wonderful mix of colorful characters, unique gameboards, different(but good of course) gameplay, and best of all it has everyones favorite plumber taking the spotlight. Of course Bowser is up to no good, and takes on his usual delightful role of a tantrum throwing, mario hating, princess stealing, dragon. This time he's back with lots of rage, i mean a therepist would have a fieldday with this guy. He of course had his own gameboard which is hillarios, it's owned by he and his equally funny and menacing son, baby bowser (or sometimes called Koopa Kid). I loved this game though it is aimed at a younger audience, but the multiplayer mode will bring delight to anyone regardless of age. This game is a gem in a pool of second-rate gamecube games, a must have for any real gamer. 5 out of 5 stars, most definatly.

NOT FOR ANYONE OVER 4 !!

This game is such a waste of money!! You had to be a brain-washed Mario "fan" to Love this game!!! Only my 4 yr. old LIKES this game!!! You CAN"T Leave the game when you Want to...You CAN"T save the games YOU want to save... You just , hop around a Monoply type game board, without much brain work or control of YOUR character.... WHAT IS THE POINT to Mario 4?

MarioParty4 is everything you expect it is and more! If you enjoy playing four player party games then you'll enjoy this game. I like it because it is very fun and your anxious to know if your going to get a star. If your in story mode you have a chance to become a 'superstar' you'll have to battle the person of the board game your playing. If you lose you can try again and if you win you get a present specificially for that character
you choose! DID THIS HELP YOU????

mini games are great but the rest is sloooooow and boring

i would recommend not getting this game to anyone who has a life because to complete the entire game, you would probably have to play it for at least 50 hours. the story board mode is one player mode and each character has to beat a board game and challenge a "party host" to a mini game to get their present (and each character has like 6 presents that they need to get). if you don't get 1st place in the board game you have to do the whole thing over and it takes at LEAST a half an hour to complete a board game. i'm not even close to being done with that part and i've been playing it for like a year. if you ever DO accomplished that, there's also a multiple player mode which i haven't even attempted yet. the only part about this game that i like are the mini games - they're these fun little games you can play 2v2, 3v1, or 4 player; they're really fun and there are tons of them. everything in this game (besides the mini games) is extremely slow because it always focuses on the player's little actions like blinking and breathing instead of getting on with the game. i expected much more out of this game and i am very dissappointed in it.

Nintendo Fiesta!

I'll be completely honest with you. Mario Party 4 was the very first of the Mario Party series I got my hands on. In fact, the decision to purchase Mario Party 4 was not on my behalf, it was my significant other's. Was I impressed? Was I disappointed? Read below and decipher for yourself!

Mario Party 4 is an impressive game * IF * you have others to participate 100% of the time. The Story Mode (single player) is close to garbage. So with that said, if you have no one around to join the "party", you're going to find yourself unhappy with this one.

The colorful graphics are great. Solid sounds accompanied by smooth gameplay. The multiplayer mode is great if you have skilled opponents around. The game's biggest downside is the lack of challenge on single player, and also the character selection. Who really wants to play as Wario or Waluigi?

Bottom line, great game if you have playmates, somewhat questionable if you're an independent gamer.

the worst party ever

this game was horrid compaired to the first. when i upgraded from a n64 to a gamecube, i got this game. the only thing different was that they copyed every game except they made it worse and added some of the worst games ever. the graphics are an upgrade and they made items that help you around the board, but it goes to waste on really bad levels. they added 2 odd characters daisey and waligi, a copy off of peach and a cross between wario and luigi with conan o'brians legs and a purple suit. ehg

Pretty good.

This is an OKAY MP game. There are better ones... ( the N64 ones ) But anyways, this is the first Cube game I ever got, I actually got it before I got my Cube. It was a very fun game, it added a lot of stuff never before seen in the series, but they added so much, it kinda took out a bit of the fun with it. There are fun maps, more characters to play with, more minigames ( not neccesarily better ) and of course, sharper graphics. I still reccomend the N64 mario partys, but this is still a party game you should not pass up.

Best mario party ever!

If I were you I would get mario party 4 instead of another one
because its got cool graphics and other mario parties don't have as cool graphics and you can be donkey kong in this mario party
and MP5,6,and 7 you can't be donkey kong and he is the best!

Simple but SO MUCH FUN! :D

For Mario Party this game is very simple. Simple boards, simple orbs, simple bowser times, simple minigames, simple everything! This game just was simple and easy. But for some reason this game did well and for that reason is it had the old mario charm. You feel like your there with your person you are. The boards are colorful each with their own lotorey. This game is simple BUT SO MUCH FUN!
:D
