This game is virtually flawless. The graphics, unlike too many nex-gen games, are beautiful in regular gameplay AND in cutscenes. Reviewers who are griping about camera angle are nitpicking, and I don't share their view. In fact, the ability to change to a distant view unchangeable by the C-stick, makes figuring out "where to now?" a breeze most of the time. I was pretty stuck at a couple of points, but generally puzzles are solvable once you bang your noggin just a couple of times. Great, great story, great voice acting, and just a must buy. I never would have purchased it had I not bought it on a special bundled with Splinter Cell, but I can honestly say this one would be worth the full cost of admission. here's hoping that ubi soft makes a sequel.

Being a fan since the very first POP...

We had to have this! Fell in love with that little Prince from the very first version (and the other 3 too!) which were just played on our computers.

We actually had to shop and decide which game system we wanted to buy, specifically, just to play Sands (needed to "feel" the game too!). Decided on Xbox (so glad we did! Awesome stuff) and away we went. Blown away by graphics, music, story, puzzles, and especially the movements and athletics of the Prince. Well, it was just the best ever.

Sad when it ended, sigh.

We've since bought several other games...but they just don't compare. The Xbox is getting dusty now that we've completed the game. Nothing is as interesting or fun so far. Hopefully there will be a sequel coming!

(You've come a long way, Prince)

Excellent choice !!

This game is awesome!! Great graphics and great 3DF effects!! The way you use the sands of time to make slow motion effects and to return to past is fabulous...You really gonna enjoy it.

This game was quite enjoyable to play, however I was able to beat it in about a weeks time (which was ok, because I only had a week to complete it and return it to the video rental store). I must say, the graphics were gorgeous, the voices nice to listen to, and the fighting excellent and fun. All in all, a very good game. I was a bit disappointed with the ending, considering Farah doesn't remember the Prince at all! Plus the end fight was outrageously easy.

Otherwise, this game was VERY enjoyable, and I can't wait for the second one to come out (according to sources, it involves an island of some sort).

Hurray, for the Prince of Persia!

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was probably one of the most funnest and coolest games of last year. Yet it didn't have those huge sales it should've got, it only got "fairly successful" sales. Coming on no less than 4 systems(I think there was a PC version too), it allowed anyone owning a game console to play it no matter what you have.

Story: The Prince of Persia(I don't think you catch his name) finds the mysterious Dagger of Time. Tricked by an evil Vizier to opening this huge hourglass, it turns the entire populace into sand mummy things except for the Vizier, the Prince and a stranger named Farah.

Music/Sound: The Prince has a british accent which works quite well. He tends to talk to himself a bit during the game which makes things lighthearted. What little music there is as an obvious Egyptian feel with bit of rock elements like the fighting scenes.

Graphics: Coooool. The world here is quite detailed and the parts where you turn on the Dagger is so neat. When the camera gets stuck at time, there's a slight blur effect which kind of got annoying.

Gameplay: Normally I like fighting in games but the platforming was a lot more funner than the fighting. The Prince has an almost superhuman ability to run across walls(yes I said across). If you run at the wall from the side, you can actually run along for a slight time. There's some puzzle solving but nothing too difficult.

The ability to rewind saves yourself from certain deaths although I have one complaint: sometimes, rewinding you're not allowed to block or dodge an attack as soon as the rewind stops(a few seconds) he might get hit right away which negates the use of rewinding. One area where you have to rescue Farah and fight off big baddies just got really frustrating.

I beat the Gamecube version and didn't notice anything like lots of slowdown or framerate, the rest of the versions may vary but you should definately pick this up before the upcoming Warrior Within

ONE OF THE VERY FEW GAMES WORLD WONDERS

People have talked a lot about this game, so I don't think I have much left to say. I only can say that YOU HAVE TO PLAY THIS GAME.

Brought my faith back to the Gamecube

I have 50 gamecube games, but i have never been blown away by any like this. I beat it in two weeks but was the best platformer game I have ever played. There are no negatives. It pulls everything off perfectly. Check other reviews if you want more details, but i just picked up off the shelf having no idea and it was awesome.
