Ty the tasmainian tiger starts off with you Ty the last of your kind running aroud with a bilbie (the animals that raised you) in the jungle. It so happens that you stumble upon an ancient spirt who tells you about a great battle your anceistors fought against boss cass. Then just as your fellow tigers are about to defeat cass he activates the dreametime portal. sending you relitives into another dimension. As a final effort to survive one tazzy tiger tosses a boomerang that hits the portals power sources the 5 talismans. The result is a massive explosion that scatters the talismans accross Austrailia.
The object of the game is to collect thunder eggs. These msystical stones provide enough power to run a machine that can locate the talismans to realese your friends and family. But along the way you encounter an array of enemies. To combat them you must use several different boomerangs you aquire as the game progresses. This game is the best one I have played in years. On a scale from one to ten. Ty the tasmainian Tiger deserves an 11.

FANS OF 3-D PLATFORMERS WILL FIND LITTLE NEW HERE.

I HAD THIS GAME FOR A LITTLE MORE THAN A WEEK AND TURNED IT IN. TY IS CERTAINLY CUTE. HOWEVER HIS ADVENTURE IS PRETTY BASIC. YOU GET TO COLLECT THINGS, RUN, JUMP, SWIM, DEFEAT ENEMIES WITH DIFFERENT BOOMARANGS AND USE YOUR BITE ATTACK. THIS GAME IS BASICALLY YOUR RUN OF THE MILL 3-D PLATFORMER. DON'T GET ME WRONG THIS ISN'T A BAD GAME. I'M SURE IT'S SOMEONES FAVORITE GAME RIGHT NOW. MY POINT IS THERE ARE A # OF OTHER ADVENTURE GAMES FOR GAMECUBE THAT ARE BETTER THAN THIS ONE.

Great Platformer / Great for Kids and Adults

I'm an adult that still likes to play video games. The game is a all around fun platformer (Adventure) that I enjoy and so does my nephew that loves the game. The controls are easy for someone young to play, but the game has a lot of wit and humor that an adult will like. Yes if you a hard core gamer this might not appeal to to you, but if you are looking for a game for the whole family then this is a good title.

Excellent game

Ty is a fun platformer that embodies everything we like about these games. Cute as a button and faster than the lethargic Raccoon or the just plain slow Ratchet, Ty has his large variety of boomerangs and a massive bite to keep him out of trouble. And the authentic accents and catchy music are great.
Aimed at a younger audience than the Teen rated Ratchet and Clank and far less frustrating than Mario Sunshine, Ty is the new Spyro.

Its a good game

... The game is good and fun to play because of all the small movie scenes and such, but it should be just a little more complex. There should also be more levels. I just started this game and it is pretty simple. You throw boomerangs at enemies and bite your way through boxes. It's kind of like Sonic where you have to collect coins except they are reddish. Then you have to get special golden rings (forgot the name) and give them so that you can recieve a better boomerang. Overall, this game deserves 4 out of 5 stars because it looks to easy. The good part is that it doesn't take up a lot of space.

Has a drawback.

I bought this game for my family but we can't play it because the screen swings so much that we get motion sickness. It may be a cute game but none of us can play long enough to find out.

dizzy and sick Mom

Terrific for Kids (and people who aren't good gamers)

I got this about a week ago and love it. LOVE it. My 5-year-old and I were both playing it, and the great thing is that for us, we played almost all day without having Ty die, and without using cheat codes. You can easily rebuild health by going back to places you've already been and finding picnic baskets instead of the original items you were searching for. Right away that makes it a must-by at my house.

I got a real sense of place from playing this game. It's similar to Spyro, and yet, after running around the woods on the 2nd level for a while, I actually felt like I knew where I was. VERY REALISTIC GRAPHICS. I was completely impressed by how much I "felt" like I was in the woods. With this kind of quality, I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this game before. I only found it because of the excellent price.

I'm not the greatest gamer, so I need things to be pretty straightforward, and this was. ...it's VERY VERY hard to watch someone else play this game. I cannot look at it when my son is playing. But I didn't have any problems when I was playing. One person game that is REALLY one person because of this.

Same Old Same Old

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Jack and Daxter, Chrash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet and Clank, Zapper the Cricket, Frogger (the recent ones), and the list goes on. They are all the same! Sure there may be a few differences in style and gameplay, but its all the same thing, find the items, save something, collect coins, jewlels, or whatever, and use the same basic jump and attack on a bunch of the same enemies walkin around. Ty is simply the new addition to this little family, and quite frankly, it has gotten very old. The minor inovations aren't near enough to put this one up and away from the rest. But if cliché adventure games are your thing, then have a blast. But for the rest of us, something new please.

I bought this game for myself and kids. We have really enjoyed it. It is fun on an adult level and my 2 boys 8&4 can also play and enjoy it. We have become quite addicted to it. I would really suggest trying this game. It has no blood, guts, or gore. It is just a fun game for the whole famiy to enjoy!!!!

Great Game for the Price

While it may not be the game my children (boys, ages 8 and 10) play the most it does get plenty of play! It has nice graphics, and reasonable sound - and you can't beat it for the price!!
