Great Fighting Port to PSP

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 3

I had a lot of fun with this port, and it will probably replace my PS2 version of the game because of the increased number of features/options.

2D fighting fun

GG: Judgment is actually two games in one, so it keeps the replay value up, but playing solo, as with any fighting game, gets old really quick. Two different games, a one v. one fighter, and a side scrolling adventure, come on the disc, and personally I was not impressed too much with the side scroller. The story doesn't vary at all between characters, minus the dialog. GG: X2, the 2D fighting half of the disc, delivers a true arcade translation. A couple of my friends have this game as well, and it's fun to fight against them, but once again, playing solo gets old fast. However, if you're a fan of the series, it's a definate pick up.

Buy it cheaper at Circuit City

This is a wonderful 2D fighting game. If you are into Street Fighter, Fatal Fury and the like, you won't be dissappointed here. This game even has more flash and effects than the other two. But don't buy it here! I've seen this game at Circuit City for $9.95. I bought it a few months ago for $12 at the same store. Going back last week, they are now selling cheaper. At this price, you can't go wrong!!!!! Check out their website but on it they are asking for $12.99.

If you like the xbox version, this isnt it!

Let it be known that my 2 stars are rating the judgment alone and not GGX2#R. I cant give GGX2#R it a high rating either however, because I know they cheaped on their product. I wanted the full version to play and they took all the reasons and rewards out of it.

Judgment is for a GG fan that would like to play another side scrolling mode similar from the one in GG Isuka. This one includes an actual story somewhat instead of just non stop hacking. The game has survival and story mode and all but it doesn't hold up on its own.

Hence they put in GGX2(# Reload)to back it. Which the only reason why they included the reloaded name was because of the wi-fi (online capability) not because of any extras whatsoever. However, GGX2#R does not come with all that made the game great, no side scrolling mode (which if you didn't know was different then judgment and you fight throughout the city actual mobs of people instead of monsters and characters in the game), story mode, mission or gallery. Yes arcade, vs., survival, and millionaire. However survival and millionaire are practically of no interest at all.

They should have came out with the full version of GGX2 with all bells and whistles and had that judgment thing as a little bonus not the main attraction. If you would like to play half of GGX2#R and pay for a new side scroller on top of it then this is for you.
