I bought this game today!! "BEAUTIFUL"! "EXCELLENT GRAPHICS"! My XBOX soundtracks have finally come to life in this game. When I get good enough I'll compete on XBOX LIVE!!! I hold back the final star because the controls for amped 2 are too advanced for my insane trick habits! LOL (Coolboarders 3 for PSX)...All The Way Baby *_*

amped 2 is the best snowboarding/snowskating game ever. However there are a few exceptions, the game is not very realistic, which means that you can do a double back flip off of a 2 foot jump or you can grind the lift cables. But there are good thing about this game too. They put buttering into the game, good for making combos and they put styling your tricks in the game which, if done right it can put 100,000 points on your score for a 720 spin! snowskating is the crappy half of the game because you can do 1 footed k-grinds and stuff like that. but if you do a back flip or frontflip you will loose your board in mid air if you dont grab it wich is cool.

Cheap thrill in the off season

This game is really fun, particularly if you're into snowboarding. Definitely an insanely diverse amount of moves. The photo shoots are annoying, but the most rewarding and cool when you complete them (lots of eye candy on the tricks). What else is cool, is that you can ride against (or be) a handful of pros...most notably Jeremy Jones. The game does take forever, but that's a good thing I guess. Whether you want to beat it, or just strap on for some freeriding, you can do it. My only gripe is that some runs are a bit too park oriented without enough insane AK (Alaska) descents. There are actually no 80* AK descents...closest thing is New Zealand. The game is definitely geared more toward kickers and park as opposed to AK steeps. In fact, when you do come across major cliffs/descents, you don't have to manuever your way down them like the pros; if you hit the jump button you get like 100-200 feet of air (since it's so steep) - which is cool, but sometimes a bit much. Plus, when there are steeps, they aren't long enough. All in all, this game rocks. Great gameplay is exceptional and, as a snowboarder, it's pretty realistic for a video game (with a little exaggerated amplitude in the game of course). Replay value is extremely high on this game.
