Excellent game! Fun factor is very high and the story is gritty. Truly one of the best games out for the PS3 and shows the off the systems yet to be fully utilized power. Movement is a little pesky sometimes and the map is not excactly helpful unless you have a monstrously big hdtv. Definitely worth every penny.

I was attracted to this game because I love the comic books from Top Cow in which it is inpsired. I dind't know what to expect from the game, so I downloaded the demo and fell in love with it!

The action is great, but what really makes this game a helluva fun is the darkness. From the "tentacles" of darkness that you control, to the armor of darkness that protects you from attacks, to the little ones you can summon to help you... it is just amazing!!! That's what makes the game so much fun, and the story is as griping as the comics, with a little of everything: love, war, gansgters, mafia, corrupt policemen, treason... It was perfect!!!

And the ost of the game is just amazing!!!

Check it out, you won't repent!!!

This game is exactly what I expected from the PS3 format. GRAPHICS! Incredibly interactive and entertaining. At times the level of difficulty increases to frustrating levels but hey, what good game doesn't make you crazy sometimes? I like it!

The Darkness is a first person adventure game with prevalent crime and horror themes. Interactions with the environment are limited, and the mood and feel of the game leaves me with nothing but disgust. Avoid this game at all costs.

If the game is so great, why isn't there a decent trailer that shows the actual gameplay?

You can go online and see reviews about how "great" yesterday's games were also...I can read 100 positive reviews, but I still won't buy a $60 game until I can see the darned thing - at least ONE SECOND of game play...come on, don't tell me all the marketing money was wasted on a teaser!

This game has re named the first person shooter category , the story line is excellent, the graphics are one of the best i have seen . Just details in the game make this a great buy, i mean what game do you know that u can shoot out a light bulb, i mean i dont know many...

The Darkness is a wild ride from beginning to end, a game that tells a story of a young mafia hitman that gains a special demonic power on his 21st birthday. As the game progresses, you learn how to wield this awesome power and get revenge on your Uncle Paulie for deeds I shall not name in this review for I do not want to spoil the game for you. But what he does to you is something you cannot forgive him for, and Uncle or not you want his blood. The Darkness is one of the most dramatic games you could play on a game console, especially for FPS standards. The PS3 version which I played looks wonderful and has a rock solid frame rate throughout the entire game. It does not however take advantage of the standard Hard-Drive nor the motion sensing SIXAXIS controller, probably due to it being designed around the weaker specifications of Microsoft's Xbox console.
The game is NOT for the faint of heart, you will see many point-blank gunshots to your enemies heads, as well as ripping their hearts out. Enjoy!

I Got This Game At Walmart Today And I Have To Say It Was Way Worth Sixty Five Dollars. I Mean I Won't Spoil It For Anybody Else. Buy It If Your A Game Lover. Trust Me I Know Good Games And This One Is The Game of The Summer. Forget All The Other Games On The Store Shelves, If Your Gonna Buy One, BUY THIS ONE!!! The Reason It Is So Good, Is Because of All The Elements It Has In It. It Has The Feel of A Full Fledged Hollywood Movie. There Are Things In This Game No Other Game Franchise Seems To Have Thought of. Until Now I Guess, LOL. I Am A Big Fan of Grand Theft Auto Games. The Next One Is Going To Have To Soar Above This One. I Have Never Had To Hope For Something Like That. Since This Game Made It Into The Disc Reader of My Playstation 3 I Am Keeping My Fingers Crossed.
